With all due respect, what's keeping you going in the game?

Back in 2019, I randomly came across mcoc in play store ( iphone5s then). Also the likeness towards mervel heros & saw some clips on youtube as well.
In the early days, I didn't know what i was getting into & how it really works.
But
As the game & i progressed over the time. I got used to it , got addicted & also using the champs who i used to see on tv or movies. Now i amm playing as them in a Mobile game.
Now looking back at the time. It sure was a nostalgic trip started back then & still going.
At times I thought of quitting as well but my likeness & somewhat this game became my "escape from real world situation for sometime " in a good way .
.
That's my story tho. Wouldl ove to hear about yours & if okay " like to know what's your story or what is it that still keeping you going good in game after all this years of game" .

So In 2018, in my class we used to talk a lot about the games we played, My friend one day told me about this game, I just forgot about it.

In the second Saturday of jan 2019, I was too bored and I remembered about this game, I downloaded it and in the first tutorial screen, I am able to see Venom (My fav marvel character) and I went in like hell yeah.

Within 2 months I was able to get better than my friend, which was my initial motive to play the game, Then by 2020 feb, after a year, I opened a 6* crystal, became cavailer and eventually lost interest in the game.

After a month break,in April, Lockdown forced me to play this game again. I got into a friendly ally and made a hell lot of friends in line, and it all went well.

Then around August, I had a fight in line with another player. I am stupid kid back then who took it personally, but anyways to avoid all the drama, I just uninstalled line and played game for sometime, Until 2020 December when 7.1 was launched, I was still a cavailer at that time.

Then, after a 2 year long break, I came back to mcoc in 2023, and it's all fun since then.

Been asking myself that a lot this month. Not really sure these days. I'm closer to walking away than I ever have been (playing for over 9 years). I really don't like the direction the game has taken heading in to 2024 after a stellar second half of 2023.

The main reason is that I’m a huge fan of Marvel and this is really the only fighting game like this on mobile since it was released and I really do love the game but I have been finding my self more frustrated because of the AI than really enjoying it like I once did. The final thing that keeps me playing is I have invested a lot of time and money in the game.

I like this game since it doesn't have constant advertisement. I tried playing other mobile games and keep getting bombarded with adds. Also it has the Punisher, Cosmic Ghost Rider and other cool marvel characters.

My alliance mates have become like family over the years. Even though many of us moved onto other alliances. I've invested quite a bit of money into the game, and it would seem a waste to just stop.

I have dramatically reduced the amount that I play though because of the frustrations with the game itself.

Controversial for some: arena. Not grinding for champs, but just the ability to go fight after fight after fight with little other input.

I love to play without actually thinking too hard and I mostly play mcoc to unwind and clear my head - I genuinely think the mindlessness of arena is good for my mental health.
