How Alliance Wars Work

Good morning,
When you launch a War on only 1 group, the other 2 are open to place defenders. It's normal ? Will the opponents see the defenders? Will we still be able to fight in these groups? Aren't these points offered? etc. Please explain to me. THANKS.

From my alliance's experience it seems normal. Once the war starts, only the first battlegroup ends up being available to actually participate in the war. The others just appear locked when you try to join the war, but remain open when you try to place heroes.

Thanks for the quick response but what I haven't been able to verify yet is whether or not the adversaries can fight our defenders without us being able to face them on our side. In other words, aren't we going to offer them points and more generally why is this possible? Is there any point in this being so?

    NO.

Placing defenders in all groups is just IN CASE you ever want to Enlist a War for more than 1 BG. The defenders will already be setup then.

If you Enlist for just 1 BG, that is the ONLY BG that will be doing the war.
You will be matched against an opponent who is ALSO only doing 1 BG.

Note, if your BG1 Defense is setup with 10 people, and you have others with defenders in BG 2 or 3, those other people will NOT be able to join BG1 for attack because you have 10 people already committed (locked) into doing BG1 because of their defenders there.
