Why are people complaining about blob when onslaught is right there?

I have seen people complain about the vote being rigged and in global chat I've also seen people say "we need a good mutant" when multiple great mutants exist. Sure let's say blob got voted in I'm still taking a prof x or a bishop over blob. I do understand the argument about blob most likely having high resistances but your forgetting onslaught as well has very high resistances and he came out last december so we have a mutant with high resistances. I believe it's not a bad thing blob didn't make it because from my best guess he'd just be mutant kingpin.

I agree even if blob got voted in it'd still be awhile before many people even get blob and once onslaught is in the basic pool that'll just destroy any reason of getting blob

How would you decide on that w/o knowing his hypothetical kit? And we all thought Gladiator would be a cosmic Hyperion (lol) but he isn't.

My guess is he would have been more of a cross between Juggernaut (unstoppable with momentum or at a standstill) and Colossus (a few immunities due to his impenetrable skin, rather than purification) than Kingpin (who only has that immobility/unstoppable during his heavy). Maybe add in Vox's that ability to not go backwards while evading, and Mantis's to stand still on command - he might have both of those in his kit to match his comic kits maybe.

Onslaught is great, but the mutant class has still not been as "topped up" shall we say as science, comic, mystic and even skill or tech have been the past year, so that was why many on here wanted a mutant champ.

I agree about the mutant class being somewhat bland but I'm saying back to back mutants after onslaught might be boring to some people

It wouldn’t be back to back mutants. We had skill and mystic this month. We have tech and mutant next month. The Summoner’s Choice champ won’t be out for several months after the vote is over.

Unless you meant back to back high-resistance champs. In that case I think Blob would be significantly different enough from
Onslaught that it wouldn’t be an issue.

I'm more worried about him just being a mutant kingpin and with the major argument for blob from what I've seen is he'd have high resistances even though we have onslaught

All these arguments about Blob mutant this and that, but I don't see anyone making this comments about Shriek, also mutant. Why hide behind this "we don't need mutant, NO BLOB, but hey vote Shriek", just say you don't want him over the other it's fine, also, it's done already, talk about the current competitors not the past ones
