Need help on this guy ( long time favourite)

As title said he's a long time favourite of mines. been watching gameplay and he cooks. finally pulled him as a 5* after dumping in a bunch of shards and planning to take him to R5 sig200
However, i need help with the spacing on his heavy coutering specials. Any tips?

Hard to give general tips, it depends on the defender specials and heavy reach.
Using one or two light attacks after blocking or shallow dexing can bring you close enough for a heavy before they recover.

On that note: What‘s „shallow dexing”? Is there a resource that describes such tactics in detail? I’ve been playing for 9 years and only learned about re-parrying about a year ago, so I wonder what other pro-tactics I’m missing?

For example, I am just starting to get better with Tigra and have learned that you want to evade some heavies as early as possible so that the opponent travels a longer distance with their heavy and you can punish it with your heavy (I assume it’s similar for Crossbones). Is that shallow dexing?

So yeah, where do you guys get your pro-tips?

Try to heavy counter heavy and special attacks. Some animations are easier than others

It all depends on opponents animations, Some like abs man sp1 and deadpool sp1 are easy to counters, special with beam hit as final hit are tough usually, Like apocalypse.

Can you actually punish apoc's L1? is it possible? Tried the spacing with crossbones and i dont think it's possible

Parry heavy works the same as counter heavy for CB. But yeah been trying to practice my spacing agasint different specials with crossbones. Starting to get the hang.

Can't do with crossbones or pretty much any other champ, But I do think champs like massacre or sabertooth can punish apoc sp1.

I get a lot of good tricks watching great players gameplay, like MSD, Swedeah and such.
