This issue has been under investigation since it was discovered and the team has a solution in place that will come with a hotfix targeting February 14/15th.
I know this thread has been active over the course of the last week but, as always, please remember that we update threads when we have more information to share and we won't be checking in to say "we're still looking" - it's safe to assume we are.
Presently, the game team is discussing next steps with this issue and we'll update this thread when we have more information to share.
Happened to me fighting Dust in TB EQ.
First time I was using Galan, second I was using abs man.
Then went in with hulk and it was fine again.

Right away came to the forums to post about it and saw this thread continued on from last I read it when this was only happening in incursions. Though I'm thinking this was always going to be an issue in EQ, just everyone was so busy hemorrhaging energy refills into the WOW Abs Man fight, nobody go that far in EQ
Can't honestly say I'm having the least enjoyable time in game the last week....

I hope we get compensation for this. This is screwing alot of people.
This stuff costs resources, whether it be refills or revives. Ughh..
I'm not saying compensation isn't warranted, but if it happens to any of you while doing EQ exploration, try restarting before using any revives.
I can further clarify:
When we say we're investigating next steps: that is us exploring compensation. Please do not submit support tickets as it is an unnecessary step and will just unnecessarily bog down the support team.
This game mode wasn't taken down because it wasn't universally broken, impacted a relatively small amount of players in the grand scheme of things and the issue wasn't isolated to this game mode. I understand running into this bug sucks, the frustration is totally warranted.
Additionally, we didn't say anything sooner because we didn't have anything to say, sooner. I communicated as soon as we knew the bug was fixed and communicated sooner than usual, as we typically wait until we know what the compensation looks like. We cannot update you if there are no updates to provide and, we've said it before, we will not return to threads to tell you repeatedly: We're still working on this.
Apologies for the longer timeline on the resolution of this issue, but things were handled as quickly as they could be; unfortunately, the resolution required a hotfix to the entire game and the timeline was longer than ideal.

Just reopening this thread to let you know that we pushed a hot-fix that will resolve the issues causing the black screens in Incursions and occasionally other modes. Please check your app store (go all the way to the game page), and make sure to install the latest version.
