I'd guess America. I don't think the game's that big in China. India maybe second. UAE's a bit random though. There's probably more in France, Germany or Brazil.

I'd have to agree that due to population size, US and India are probably way out in front.
Pretty sure games like this are banned by firewalls in most of China unless people are using VPN's etc, which then goes against TOS.

It would be interesting if Kabam could share some analytics to see where the game is popular and where the highest ranked players are.

Nah lol the game ain't banned in China. China usually bans Social media apps only. Games likes mcoc pubg and cod have most of their playerbase from China.

Maybe not banned, but I'm pretty sure there's some limits established by the Chinese government for mobile games/online games.
I'm sure I read something about gaming restrictions being introduced, especially when it comes to spending on games. (However, I will admit I am not an expert)

Viz, the China discussion, there was a separate Chinese version of MCOC several years ago, that got shut down and folded into the ROTW edition, ISTR reading somewhere recently that apparently it's not popular in China (or was it South Korea?) because it's not PTW enough.

There was a Chinese Marvel Contest of Champions, it got folded into the rest-of-the-world edition. I seem to remember reading Chinese players thought it wasn't pay-to-win enough.

Ex-British Army. I've seen it abbreviated as both ISTAR and ISTR in certain circles. And ISR for when its just recce with no targeting involved. Also depends which country/agency is involved.

oh, well, to come off all American, thank you for your service to Queen and Country. Which unit were you in? My dad was in the Army, starting in the Paras before a training accident forced him out, then he was in the Royal Signals before joining the Royal Welch Fusiliers.

I was in the Intelligence Corps for over 10 years. I left in the middle of last year to be closer to home and have more time with my family. I'm still a member of the Reserves though, so I still have my foot in the door, haha.

Yeah, Dad signed up in the early 60s, went into the Paras, did P Company and was doing all the jump training and ended up busting his knees up on a night jump; him and two other blokes landed on a grass-covered hangar and thought it was the ground. They bundled up their chutes, grabbed their gear and ran off and then went over the side one after the other on to concrete. Dad was in the Signals in Hong Kong for a tour, also went to Borneo during the Confrontation with Indonesia and then did a second spell in HK after he and mum married and my eldest sister was born. I think he was RWF by then. Then in '72, after my other sister had been born out in HK he got deployed to Northern Ireland not long after Bloody Sunday. Amazingly, mum and me sisters went with him. He left in '74 because his parents were both ill and his dad had been told he didn't have long left. And then died over a year later.

Haha, that's the (false) dream that's sold to us at the career centre. Although, I did have a pretty interesting career and went to some amazing places. I got to work in Edinburgh, Northern Ireland, Germany, the US and Poland.

Damn, sounds like he had a pretty amazing life whilst he was in. Sorry about his passing. He really sounds like an incredible bloke. 👍

He was a good Dad. I didn't always get on with him, but I know he loved me. He did try to get me to join up when I was a kid, but I had teenage asthma, so I binned the idea. I always wanted to join the paras and then the SAS to be able to one-up him, but I probably wouldn't have hacked P Company never mind Selection. He didn't tell a lot of stories about his time, but he did tell a few that were not pleasant, about people getting kneecapped or tarred and feathered in NI and one of his mates died after some kids chucked a frickin' toilet on the Land Rover as it was going down into one of the police stations and Dad's mate was in the cupola on the top. Dad saw it happen as he was in the second vehicle. He also told me about a guy who was first out the plane on one jump and his chute didn't open. Dad was the next guy in line.
