Now that the dust has settled I’d like to share my thoughts.
I first and foremost would like to make clear that I am not a fan of karatemike. I find him smug, arrogant and in general he’s not my cup of tea as a content creator. That being said I think the community as a whole has been pretty despicable to him.
I’ve now completed 4 of the challenges with only the Zemo challenge and tigra challenges left, and to be perfectly honest they havnt been that bad.
I get not wanting to rank zemo and black widow ect but I was able to make do with even rank 3s in some instances.
The backlash against fintech and KM wasn’t fair in my opinion. The EOP objectives last year IMO were far more difficulty than these challenges.
Are these challenges a revive fest? Yes. Is it BS that Kabam nerfed revive farming and then gave us this and WOE back to back? Yes. Neither of those things have anything to do with KM or Finthech though.
The content is hard. It has a cost. But honestly it’s not impossible and I’m nowhere near the level player level of KM or Fintech respectively.
I’ve previously said this. I think KM is a goofy, but at the same time he deserves absolutely none of this blowback or negativity he’s getting.
He was asked to do something, he did it, he actually made the most diverse content out all the challenges. Not one fight in the gauntlet doesn’t have some form of counter out of the team he required. It sucks ranking champs that you don’t want to rank. But I think the buck should stop there with frustration. The content isn’t impossible.

I kind of like KM though, as for the challenges since they are permanent i will focus on the WOW and follow up events before, additionally 8.4 will come eventually and still have some Abyss paths to clear
