Heres the picture of the reel which doesnt mean anything but theres ember for some odd reason unless that counts as iso but seems more bug than anything
Embers are sort of "relic ISO", no?
...has anyone actually received embers by opening these?
Apart from the gold (which still isn’t bonkers), ISO quantity is laughable for spending 3mil solo shards. We get on average 30-40k solo shards daily, that’s enough for two crystals per day, open two of them and face the reality of how bad value these crystals have. I’d better open more of the lesser ones for 2*-4* signature stones and champion boosts 😉
The iso is laughable, the gold is not, at least not for the amount of effort required to get those shards lol.
Also why would you pop them on a daily basis? These aren't meant to be popped on a daily basis obviously. It's more of a hoard and then pop type of thing.
I’m not opening them in daily basis, I just gave this example to show how bad of a value these crystals are, at least for iso 🙂
The iso is terrible value I agree but the gold is not. I just got 2.7M for doing nothing lol

Yes as mentioned i did before i took a ss i then used all my currency of solo crystals to get a picture chances were low so i had to spin to get the pic but before i opened i knew i didnt have ember especially t6 as someone said not available so no clue why there in reel but i in stash had 0 embers i now have 2 tech embers from this
If that's the update they hited at recently, I guess these numbers are bound to keep climbing.
You have no use for Gold and ISO?
@GroundedWisdom I think I'm in good shape until the release 12* champs in 2030.
I try not to complain about much, but honestly, don't you get more ISO by duping a 4* or 5* champ?
I obviously don't need either resource, so I don't particularly care that it's a worthless crystal. But for those that do need the resource, it seems like a real miss. I'd just assume open champ crystals and use those shards for the other crystals that give other valuable resources.

Well yeah, I suppose you're set. In terms of the Crystal, it's not likely going to have a massive payout. Those Shards accumulate easier than anything.
Yeah, and that's fine, it doesn't have to be for everyone. In the case of this particular crystal though, it barely seems beneficial to anyone.
And it's on keeping with a greater trend, wherein items are added/released, and they're obsolete to a portion of the community at launch.
That's why I have so many of the solo crystal shards. I haven't had a very good reason to open any of them since day one.
Now, I don't pretend to understand the game economy in the way @DNA3000 does, and I understand that if a crystal is accessible to everyone, then the contents can't be appealing to the highest tier of players, cause that would obviously catapult the lower players faster than intended.
I feel like the solution is something like a progression based solo crystal, but they don't even have a great track record with progression based items either, cause they take so long to release them that they're obsolete to the portion of that progression tier that was in early.
Look no further than the cavalier objective crystals. If they were to drop a Valiant objectives crystal tomorrow, odds are it would be good to a brand new Valiant, but it would likely feel stale to a slew of us right away.
Okay...that was a long rant by my standards. Back to the game now.

If I'm being honest, I'm not entirely sure who the crystal is for either.
But player should understand, sometimes the reason why a thing exists in the game is to see who takes the bait. You do not know how valuable something is to players until you put it in front of them and see what they do. There are a lot of players with huge shard inventories. Maybe the devs want to know if those players are willing to part with them, and if so is this enough to make them do it.
After all, don't we tell players not to buy Cavs with units, that the units would be better spent elsewhere, like completing content? And yet, Kabam sells a lot of Cavs (and probably now, Paragons). Hundreds of thousands every month.
I don't think it is a good idea to buy these for most players. But it is also a horrible idea to buy those magazines and candy at the checkout line at the supermarket. Neither one is good for you. But there's a reason they are there, and it isn't because they don't sell. And maybe there are players with huge solo shard inventories and just want to get rid of them, but they hate buying the normal solo crystals because they clutter up their inventories. This would be a way to convert those shards they will literally never use into something they will use, even if it is a small amount of useful stuff. I'm not buying them, but admittedly I do not buy the solo crystals either and at this point I'm not even saving them in the hopes of being able to get something useful for them. Kabam is never going to make a super-valuable reward that you can buy with them, because they would have to account for players like me. I'm just saving them to make big number go bigger.
Economically speaking, I *should* buy the ISO crystals because I would be converting a valueless resource into one with value. Except I'm never short ISO or Gold, so that's not a useful incentive for me.

Wow you know something is off when DNA doesn't have a concrete idea on it

I think most people are on the same boat rn, atleast I am. I never thought they would actually put a SINGLE BRICK OF ISO in a crystal.
I'm glad they made it so that we pay for the ISO crystal with the solo crystal shards, it finally gives them a use and allows players to spend a otherwise useless resource. W move, Kabam

On that note... behold the cult... of the Psycho men.
Nice crystal tho I've spent all the shards already so pain
