Rank up during Raid/AQ

It has been a while so please remind me: If I rank/level up my Raid attacker during the raid, will it be reflected in the raid or still use the lower stats for that instance of the map? I cannot recall how it works for AQ... presumably the same as for raids but not sure. I think I recall AW does not update until the next war.

Works the same in ANY game mode as an attacker.

Only place it doesn’t change is for Defenders in your current war. (Defenders including their masteries, etc, are locked in at some point prior to war being matched with opponent).
