Is the 6* shard offer in the Valiant BG store correct?

Compared to the other offers, the 6* shard offer seems to have not dropped as much in cost. I wonder if this was intentional? From what I can remember, the last time we had a BGs store update, the shards and sigs were not updated in cost, so I find it a little strange that the sigs would drop so much but the shards would not really change.

because of the Carina Challenges I prioritized sigs over shards, since all the champs need max sig, but it looks like 6* shards would’ve been the right move seeing as sigs are so cheap now.

So yeah I must ask, is this intentional?

I don't speak for all valiants, but personally, I haven't bought 6* shards or sigs in quite a long time from the BG store. Ever since its original buff, I've been buying the t6b, t3a, and t6cc selectors because those held the most value for me. 6* shards have been pretty irrelevant for me personally with their only use being 6* featured crystals, but now the new 6*s are easy to get so 6* shards are completely useless for me.

If you're valiant then the best move was neither option but hoarding up to 150k tokens and just spending what you would have gotten in overflow until Valiants got their own store

What i meant in my text was from the Side Quest when i said picking sigs over shards.

6* shards could still be used to get 7* shards though.

I open basics only because of this, even while I’m missing Onslaught, Kushala, Bullseye.

But the way it works out in the shop, it seems like 7* shards are the better deal now over the amount youd get from duping 6*’s (it was the opposite before this update)

6* shards have a direct conversion rate to 7*s, whereas sig stones have no such interaction. I think based on this store update that it’s safe to assume that Kabam has made 7*s as available as they are currently comfortable with, and so we won’t see 6* shard prices move until the 7* economy does too.

In 15 seasons of BGs I have never bought 6* shards. Sigs only the first couple of seasons (Valiant, with 3 r3s).
Why would any Valiant player still buy 6* shards? Even paragons shouldn't buy the 6* shards. I have almost all basic 6*'s (missing 2) and if I want a new one, I'll just put up 150mil in arena.

I spent all my currency on r4/5 materials, haven't bought 6* shards for quite a long time.

Haven't opened a 6* shard crystal for probably 6 months.

Now it's 7r2, 5/65 and that's it.

Nothing wrong with the paragon store but you gotta spend smart.

Where do you get all your sig stones for requirements such as these Carina Challenges, etc? I'm actually just curious.

Everyone was moaning over the rank up resources needed for some of these less-than-desirable champ rankups, but no one really talks about the sig stones.

Some would say "buy them from the the BG store, duh!", but like you, I also have been holding on to my tokens for a store buff which luckily has paid off now. Some would even say Threat 6 incursions, but if you complete one run of Zone 25, doesn't it take near a month for that thing to reset?

It just blows my mine to see some people consistently max sig'ing and r5/ascending all the newest champs that come out. Acquisition now is easy: the pre-release bundles. But how are thye just sitting on mass amounts of 6* stones and where are they getting them from?

I followed your advice until this Sunday and Monday, where I bought 100 sig stones to get my black widow and Thor ready for Mike's avengers challenge. I now see I should have waited. Oopsies to my impatientness (to the rune of 30k+ BG tokens).

I feel it comes from dupes more than random sig stones. Most of these kinda of players have every available 6* and either max sig or close to it already.

BGs store update was long overdue, it was 100% sure to happen the upcoming season, else the mode would be completely dead.
Most Valiant players are sitting last months on over 100k Trophy tokens, since the items in store barely added any value to their account.
Anyway, don't worry you'll get a bunch of Trophy tokens from season rewards and from your first five games next season 😉

Thanks for making me feel better. My time is more valuable, so if I had waited, I would have had to wait an extra three more weeks. I'd do it again as the Carina's are my only thing left and don't do high tier war, it just still kind of hurts.

I'll be honest, I have no idea where I get my sigs from. However, I generally don't use my sigs unless a champion really needs high sig. I already had Thor at sig 200 from earlier investments into him so I only needed to sig up black widow for any of the carina challenges.

Really the only times I have sigged champions in the last month or so was because I had sigs expiring.

I rarely do incursions, barely did them this month because 5 minute cooldown meant I could use Sersi through it and not get hacked by rng for the hacks.

I got sig 40 7* mojo, so I am not wasting resources in a 6* I won't use. I also am not doing that challenge for awhile anyways 🤣

Yeah i hear you, but i assume you would r4 max sig if you didn’t have the 7* and were far from your next incursions crystal

I'd r4 him, but probably not sig him, when I would decide to do the challenge which gives me like 2 months or so since I'm waiting on the r5 gem that'll likely be in 8.4 for Tigra 🤣
