Not necessarily true as they would be triggering his incinerate aura which would be stalling the fight, and at max sig it would be triggering a good amount. It can cause some chip damage too, plus the risk of him getting to sp3 from max MD.

It's not even a competition, one gives incinerate damage which you can counter with a incinerate immune, the other one is purely degen and although some champions can have reduced degen damage, it's a very small number rn

But most science champions are not incinerate immune? How many actual incinerate immunes are people drafting? Remember i said BGs so assuming they dont draft torch, it can go ugly. Sunspot feeds his power gain btw

Sunspot kills him too fast for it to matter in 99% of scenarios

I personally find Mephisto more annoying and dangerous.
Without Torch or Void he is a real pain, especially if the opponent runs 5/5 MD, continuously baiting specials is probably a time out or else an sp3.
On the other side, Kindred is countered very well by Torch, Scorpion, Hulk and Spider Ham, champs that are quite common in people’s rosters.

Yeah exactly, they don’t have to worry about max MD and incinerate aura, so they can just pound away with Kindred. What hurts Kindred the most is that the Science class is stacked, and unlike mephisto he doesn’t have the aura to be stalling or potentially chipping down health

There are a lot more incinerate immune/reducing champs than there are who can deal with degen. Kindred can go stun immune and his special 1 is very hard to punish so getting openings is very difficult. And at sig 200 the root can be far more annoying than mephisto’s aura

Just curious, but why make a poll if your mind seems to already be made up?

From my experience, my Kindred gets banned far more often, though it's r5 ascended and my Mephisto is just r4.
We've also had years more experience facing Mephisto than Kindred, and I can take down Mephisto faster and safer than Kindred even without a proper counter

I don’t run mephisto anymore because of all the scorpions and torchs. Scorp can just heal everything back up and torch is torch. I feel you can play around mephisto better than kindred. One mistake on kindred and you're done for.

Never really understood why people find Kindred hard, literally just have a special ready when he roots you and he's dead lol. So it's gotta be Mephisto for me, just because even with incinerate immune his stupid regen still stalls.

Mephisto can be a pain without an incinerate immune and/or power control. But if you don’t have a special ready, Kindred can also deal damage too

@ItsClobberinTime I still can't understand how to shut his degen down. Sometimes when I maintain distance, his degens fell off and sometimes even when I'm far away, the degens won't fall off. It's annoying. The root is least of my concerns, lol.

Most will, but some, the type of person who spams Loki emotes like a feral 10 year old, will vote for the champ that weakens your deck...

Interesting perspective. Thats why i take the Socratic approach and question certain points / pose a counter argument or argument for the other side

His Sp1 prevents the degens from falling off if nightmare outbreak is active

Do you have a 5/65 ascended torch? If you do but don't have other ranked counters, who would you ban, if you didn't have either meph or kindred at 5/65? Also, how stacked is your wider deck and what are your other mystic, defence or dual threats?

Ranking purely for defence, isn't reality, you know with a bad hand you may have to use them on attack every now and again and for that, who's better could also be a factor.
