Misleading daily magic heist timer

Hi kabam,

Just wanted to say that the timer on the daily (24hr) challenge is EXTREMELY misleading. When you look at the timer, and compare it to others similar, it looks like you have 21 days to complete ALL the challenges.

I, as well as others in my alliance, assumed that a new challenge would appear daily, with a new timer. So (foolishly perhaps) we decided to let them build up and then do them all over the weekend. When we checked on the weekend, there was no additional challenges, so we completed the challenge, and only then did it reveal the 24hr countdown for the challenge refresh.

Please can this be amended so it simply says 24hrs for the time, and then the challenge will auto reset , rather than have 21 days on it (now 16).

Having seen it so late, some in the alliance, we can only get 32 pts and will miss out on on the rk 4-5 gem simply due to misunderstanding and assuming that the timer was accurate. When actually it wasn’t.

A challenge that has the possibility to reset every 24 hours, should have a 24 hr timer to inform users that they need to complete every 24 hrs. If there’s any way to add any bonus challenge points to make up for this that would be amazing. But we understand that you may not feel it’s warranted or it may not be possible.

Thanks

Didn't they say they don't stack

Exactly, then why objective timer says 20days on it instead of 24hour?
Why would a DAILY last 20 days though....

The 20 days is because thats how long event lasts a daily is a daily if u didnt run it the next objective wont show its like the double track u get 2 but if u didnt run it before it wont create new ones until the previous are done its literally like this now 2 active u better un as it wont do a new one the next day unless the previous are done

You do have 21 days to complete it. You just can't do another until you do the first one. No different than battlegrounds, though those don't have a timer at all.

Yes I do agree that this system is present in the bg challenge thing.

But that challenge is not tied to anything significant.

This one is most certainly as it’s directly tied to a large end reward.

Which is why I suspect no one has been bothered to complain about the bg challenge timer.

They should all just have a timer for their actual refresh. And they should all actually refresh when they are due.

In an event with such a decent final reward (essentially 6 t6, 6t3a, 4t6cc) that requires a daily interaction with the game with very little room for missing a day, I would have hoped that kabam would have ensured that everything possible was done to make it absolutely clear.

    So

Using the word daily is one part of it.
Using a 24 hr timer is the other part.

Using the word daily, and then sticking a 21 day timer on the daily challenge just makes people think the daily challenges can be stacked, in the same way that you can wait for all the side quest events to appear and then run them all in one go.

As mentioned before, if summoners have to ask kabam for clarification on whether they could stack challenges, it means the information provided was insufficient or not clear enough, or misleading.

The addition of a 21 day timer is simply misleading. As it suggests you have 21 days to complete that particular daily. The expectation would therefore be that another timer would appear tomorrow with a 20 day timer for the next challenge - this thought process is understandable given what you’ve been presented with.

The result would therefore be after several days, you’d have several challenges each ticking down for you to complete, just like other side quest challenges that have appeared previously.

If you want to have people understand without any doubt that they need to complete a specific task every day, you put a 1 day timer on it. Simple. Anything else just doesn’t make sense.

If u dont see a timer saying 23 hours and that till next objective it means it wont stack unless u see a timer im sorry u missed out if u did but daily means daily for this thing of no stacking due to its daily for 20 days

Just makes no sense to have timer refresh not linked directly to the timer on the challenge.

Of course for some challenges you may be part way through and then it resets.

But I’d suggest that this is less painful than not being aware of the refresh and just taking your sweet time.

Even the bg reset. With infinite time, one could imagine a new person to the game thinking that it’s a one time thing and take days to do it only to find it resets. A very minor thing seeing as the rewards are minimal. So only a small sense of loss.

But as mentioned earlier, the rewards here are significant.

Hats off to kabam for giving us all a decent event that’s very attainable for little effort, but… hats back on an a grumpy face for them not ensuring the challenge expectations were clearly explained and not ensuring that the in game mechanics supported their expectations of summoners.

Yes I agree daily is a key word, but the issue is that the word daily is not the only thing there - it’s attached to a 21 day timer. So it doesn’t fully describe what’s going on if one just focuses on the word daily. It’s the attachment of the timer that’s the issue. setting a timer for the daily for 21 days just still doesn’t make sense.

As per your example, it’s like one doctor giving you the pills, telling you to take it daily, then another doctor telling you that you’ve got 21 days to take the first pill.

Of course , when the 2 doctors meet, they should realise their error and tell the patient, sorry we meant take it daily, and the course of pills is 21 days (ie doctor no2 was incorrect) and actually, you’ve got 24 hours only to take each pill before that pill expires and goes off. And then they should apologise for misleading the patient into thinking that they had 21 days to take their first pill.

With clarity , it’s supposed to be 21 days worth of event. But the daily timer shouldn’t be for that. There is a separate 21 event timer in game for the event.

The 24 hr challenge should have a 24 hr timer. Anything else just doesn’t make sense.

Because thats how long the event is for the special daily is daily and u do it daily for that many days

It does have a 24 hour timer, its the word DAILY
Do you see a 7 day timer on this objectives?
No you don't cause a week has 7 days and they will reset in 7 days

    Lol very true :)

Although I think it’s more a case of not being swayed by a 21 day timer and just seeing “Daily” and doing it daily.

I wish I could get the r5 gem. Did the Same mistake thinking the objectives can be done later as the timer was saying 20+ days.
I’m short of 2 pts, will have 38 pts by the end of the event 😭

@Kabam Miike Maybe give us additional 1 day more, so that we don’t miss out the r5 gem (As the timer created the misunderstanding among many summoners)?
