Tbh Cavs facing Paragons in Silver is just stupid, there's a reason matchmaking is random after Plat and not Silver.
I wouldn't even bother playing the game if this was happening to me in Silver and I was Cav. Plat and above different story but Silver? These accounts are probably playing their first matches of the week and they're already facing top competition?

The title itself doesn't mean much, I have a paragon alt that I rarely use it for anything, much less BG's so its in Bronze every season.

My BG deck has 5 x 6r4, 10k rated champs after the 10th slot and bottom 7 champs in the deck are <8k.

It's a Paragon account in name only. Largely meaningless. After banning the first 3, a good cav account could probably match it if the roster is developed beyond a handful of champs (like my alt haha)

The issue is more about input drops and increasing number of annoying defenders. I can beat any whales or valiants if it hadn't been these issues. Player progression is fine, you need to beat the best to be the best.
Top players staying in bottom struggling with each other and TBs/Cavs reaching GC easily won't seem fair. And i have seen skilled TBs and Cavs who can defeat big players as they are skilled with their roster.

I'm going to go a different route with this response and not focus on the BG content but on the use of the word "everyone" in the thread's title.

This word is way over used. "I dislike something about the game therefore EVERYONE dislikes it." "I won't play this specific content therefore EVERYONE shouldn't play it." "I find this specific content too hard therefore EVERYONE finds it too hard." "I'm experiencing this bug in the game therefore EVERYONE is experiencing the same."

@Mayavi BGs has started out rough for you. My sympathies of having to go up against bigger accounts. Hope that they work their way up the ladder and the competition evens out. But please explain (or provide evidence) that EVERYONE hates Battle Grounds just because you're having a rough go.

But remember, matchmaking isn't based on your title but your deck. I don't think they ever mentioned that in VC, you can't be matched with a Paragon if you're Cav. There are Cav players out there with bigger rosters but just don't want to do Act 6.

🤣🤣🤣..my opponents have my double prestige is that big roster that I have like paragon and valiant? They have lots of 7 stars R2, R1 and 6r5,r4,r3 is the lowest for them. But I have only highest 2 6* 3 and 1 7* is that similar deck to valiant and paragon players, be use your common sense, I think you are valiant or paragon.

I agree but assuming this is the case with op and sending vitriol right off the bat instead of asking him to show his roster is messed up.

@Mayavi next time I suggest you post your deck as well as your opponent's if you want to be taken seriously. Otherwise it just sounds like you're complaining because you lost, you need proof.

Just to clarify something, unless something has changed the BG match maker does not look at deck, it looks at roster. Which is to say, your deck might be substantially weaker than your opponents if you do not place your strongest champions into your deck, which for the purposes of match making are your highest rarity/rank champs.

Do in theory if you have gained more high rarity champs or ranked up champs but have chosen not to place them in your deck, the game will still match you as if you did. This is to prevent players from making deliberately weaker decks and try to match against newer players who have weaker decks by default rather than by choice.

So the question should be: what do your top thirty champs look like, sorted by overall rarity/rank?

It would be interesting to see how prestige and sigs also play into it. For instance, duping CAIW is great for quests, but does nothing for BG. Would the extra sigs be just a penalty in BG then?

If I understand your question correctly, based on my understanding of how BGs work, the answer is kinda.

I believe (this is my understanding from casual discussions and observations) that what the match maker looks at to find a match is, in order, a) what specific VT tier are you in, b) what is your roster strength, and c) what is your progression tier. Below a certain VT tier (which I believe is P2) the game tries to find reasonably close matches within this criteria (however, if it cannot find a match, perhaps because no one close to you is looking for match at that precise moment, it will widen the search the longer it looks).

"Roster strength" is, I believe, some pseudo prestige calculation that looks at the champion ratings (basically, prestige) for the top 30 or so champions in your roster. So anything that increases the hero ratings of your top 30 champs, but does nothing to improve your ability to win BG matches, will cause you to match against stronger opponents but offer you nothing in return in the context of Battlegrounds. I believe that's what you mean by "penalty."

However, since we're averaging over a lot of champs (I say 30 because it is logical, not because it has ever been stated by Kabam) adding sigs to a single champion is unlikely to change your BG experience by a noticeable amount. Sigging up everything all over the place non-stop could, over time, cause your match up strength to rise noticeably.

usually i like clowning on people who say bgs but im in a joyful mood😁. My advice is to wait until at least week 3 to really start pushing bgs, because me like basically all the other variants that started in like bronze are here because of the store update, giving meaning to bgs again. So once we all get filtered out it shouldn't be as bad matchingmaking as before

Matchmaking is u get matched with bigger account who is active at your time .
Valiants beat paragon account
Paragon beat lower level

& Some casual big account they don't enter GC they are just beating lower level account

I mean, I hate BG because I'm currently 8 games deep and both my Iceman and my Sorcerer Supreme have yet to show up in drafting a single time. So I've just started banning maestro serpent and bullseye's because with how bad the "drafting "RNG"" is I'll just hard pass that.
