Who’s your champion that you like in game but not in character?

For me, it’s onslaught. One of the best champions in Mcoc and fun to play but I just don’t enjoy his character much. I don’t like mind-control mutants that much and he just seems like a cooler version of magneto ( which I don’t like all that much). And I value character and powers, and origins a lot so I’m not taking him really high right now. Who’s your champion?

So one of my cousin who I don't like, loves Captain America. I prefer thor over cap. So we used to fight over who is better and all. So I hated Cap for a long time just cuz My cousin loves him.
Well eventually when I seen all of the avengers movie, I actually started to love cap and he became one of my favourite marvel characters.
Currently I hate all villain anti mutant robots (sentinel, karima and nimrod), and I don't like certain characters in certain films - like sabertooth in that wolverine backstory film. And magik in new mutants.
But hey, anyways people have preferences.
If that's the case, probably Adam Warlock. I just never understood the hype around him prior to him coming to the game. I didn't care much for him in Guardians 3 and I've never read any comics with him in them so he was pretty much just a non-entity for me. I'd heard the name a lot but didn't care about him personally.
Love him in the game, though. Super fun.
Literally every aspect of Onslaught seemed to me to be literally made up on the spot to sound reasonable to anyone who did not speak English and was just playing Scrabble with the words.
Nowadays I can appreciate that taken out of context he's a cool character concept, but anything having to do with actually writing stories involving him tend to be completely nonsensical, even by comic book standards.
Pretty much all of the Disney marvel, phase rubbish, characters.
Marvel movie, cap Sam, photon, Cassie, capiw, Valkyrie, zemo, America.
But they don't annoy me as much as the disservice done to Sentry, OG Thor, Thor rags (skill!?! and those animations..), Cyclops, rogue, meph, OG Spidey, green goblin, rhino , psylocke and so many others are useless despite being marquee names.
Champions that I want to play, but can't because they are rubbish or superseded by much better options!
I'm just grateful that mags, hulk, shulk, OG BP, storm, wolverine, apoc, blade, bishop, buster, ice man, Ultron, venom, switch and a raft of others are good, or at least useful.

In the movie, one of the major plot points is that Thor loses Mjolnir and with it much of his power - or so he thinks. It is a major plot point that Thor confesses to the visage of Odin that without Mjolnir he is mostly powerless against Hela.
So, sight unseen of the movie itself, it would be reasonable to believe that the character of Thor in the movie Ragnarok was a significantly depowered version of Thor trying to survive on his fighting skills in a gladiatorial setting. And even knowing how the movie goes, that's not a totally bonkers notion.
It takes a bit of artistic license to get there, but its not a crazy place it goes. And remember: Marvel approved that.
Reminds me of when they added Mysterio, and for a brief period of time he was tagged a #hero in MCOC, to fit with the marketing of Far From Home.
I also despise Professor X, but that's cuz I hate the whole Krakoan Age story line wherein the X-Men throw out their whole MO of saving the world that hates and fears them and battling for integration and acceptance to run an apartheid state with multiple/mass murdering psychos getting a free pass.
Plus, there's the whole resurrection thing which just destroys any dramatic tension as well as being something I've hated since 2012 when my Dad passed.
Love the ridiculous amount of control he exerts over every fight. That utility is insanely versatile.
Hate the explicitly fascist, death penalty happy, judge/jury/executioner character.
