Arenas with odd CP levels

Why are people always resorting to placing 1 low level with 2 really high level champs
E.g
1500
16000
16000
People that desperate?
Can we not force players to face 3 champs with cp based on there highest champion instead?

There is no need for most to do that now, since most have so many champs that are strong enough to maintain the win streak, that they never run out, even if they play arena non stop.
Whether you use 6 strong champs across 2 matches (3 strong each time) or you spread them across 3 matches (2 strong, 1 weak, so you win 2-1), you get the same overall points.
(*actually, you probably get a little less spreading across 3 matches, because of slightly lower opponent rating)
And as for it being something only used years ago, that is not necessarily true.
Depending on what your roster is, if you are doing an arena that accommodates highest star level, and that your own roster is several ranks below what the max rank is, then it is still useful to do “mismatch” (2 high, 1 low) while you are still “UNDER 15” streak. (Like between 9 to 15).
People would use it if at say streak 12 they don’t want to face a full team of real opponents that are all 3 ranks higher than themselves. Doing a “mismatch” pulls down the overall opponent team rating (because your 1 Low champ lowers your team average).
Then once above 15 (with sufficient team rating) you would stop using the “mismatch”.
As for “why do we face teams like that”, and “I don’t want to face teams like that, please force people to not do that”. Opponents you match against in arena are just representative of teams that other people *HAVE* used at some point in Arena,
If someone out there did a “mismatch” for those early rounds in their own Arena run, you might potentially pull them as a “match” by the servers. (But probably only in the 1st opponent choice, not the bottom/stronger opponent choice).
And I’ve had this happen tons of times over the last few months.
They haven’t run out of champs at all. If they’re throwing in 2x 7 stars and a single 4 star. We all know that player is gonna have around 40 6 stars just sat there.
The cp total changes on this tactic.
The game is designed to round up your total cp and match you against 1 that slightly higher up depending on your streak.
E.g You’ve just reached a 6x streak an you how in 3x 6 stars all at 15’000 CP
That’s 45’000 cp so the game gonna try find a match that is like 51’000 cp.
3x 17’000 cp.
But some muppet has decided to use.
1x 4’000 cp
2x 25’000 cp
You’re basically being matched against a level you shouldn’t have really been facing for another 5 match ups.
Yeah you’re gonna win 1, get really bad points for it. And you’re gonna struggle more with the other 2.
Messing up your win streak a lot sooner than later.
And here some people are defending this dirty tactic.
It's arena, the computer chooses who you face, not the player you're facing.
It is NOT the same strength across ALL streak match #’s (until you get past the first 15 matches).
For 0 - 14, each successive match will gradually increase the opponent's team strength that it offers to you for a choice,
Every 3 matches, the “Star/Rank equivalent” versus your own players will go up basically exactly 1 Rank higher on EACH of the 3 champs in potential opponents, that they were 3 matches earlier.
(in general..) So at beginning (Streak 0), you are matched against champs all 1 Rank below yours.
At Streak 3, opponents will be equal rank to your own.
At Streak 6, opponents are all 1 Rank higher than yours.
At Streak 9, opponents are all 2 Ranks higher than yours.
Ate eventually along the way, at such point that opponents at that much higher than yours don’t actually exist in player's rosters, that's when you start seeing Thanos/Kang matchups, with theoretical max-rank champs, such as 7* r5 (or is it 7* r6 ??), but that DON'T have Masteries so at least they are a little easier to beat.
(*this is in general, and assumes you are putting equal-rank champs for your own team)
And for each match inbetween, 1 of the 3 champs on opponent is being increased by a Rank, such that after 3 matches all 3 opponent champs have all increased by a Rank.
Now, either yourself doing a “mismatch 2/1”, or the servers giving you a potential opponent choice that had done a 2/1 mismatch, will of course skew the above. The overall Team Rating will be increasing per match as per prior details, just that 2 of them will be above that baseline while 3rd champ will be below that baseline.
(*there is a rare times that you might also encounter a “reversed” 1/2 mismatch team, where someone was just purposely ending their streak, going out with a single high rated win and 2 low rated losses. That team may end up in the server's queue of potential matchups for others doing arena.)
**Hint, if you are upset that an occasional 2/1 mismatch opponent will be too hard for you, you can actually tell that in advance (even though you only see 1 of the 3 champs on each potential opponent's team).
If the 1 champ visible for a particular opponent choice is noticeable higher that what your own players would be able to handle, you can assume the other 2 hidden champs would be resulting in a 2/1 mismatch opponent, so just choose one of the other couple opponent team choices instead.
It's very, very, rare, that you would ever encounter all 3 potential opponent teams that ALL were done using a 2/1 mismatch.
Everyone is free to play arena according to their wish.
Got a 6-star Thing mind, so can’t complain.
Its automated by the game itself.
You are not really fighting another person in arenas.
