NGL: I didn’t get Kang/time manipulation until the AF quest

Just nerdy comic book lore talk, nothing too deep. Just pretty much the thread title

But Kang is one of the classic characters of Marvel. Debuted a bit more than 60 years ago — isn’t that something? How old some of these characters are starting to be? The Silver Age is really starting to be a LONG, LONG time ago

Kang, though, is one of those characters that I never quite understood — in my reading and how I understand comics, OK, yeah, he’s got high-tech armor and weapons, smart, good fighter. OK. Awesome

But is that enough to make you “The Conqueror” of anything? Yeah, Iron Man’s tough enough, Doctor Doom’s a lot tougher with the magic, but at some point, it’s kinda the same thing: Guy in a high-tech suit with some resources

Right? RIGHT??????

That side quest, with all the time dilation, made me finally “get” Kang, after all these years. NOW I GET IT.

The guy who controls localized time effects is OH MY GOSH DANGEROUS

Thanks, Kabam! I know it was a April Fools Joke, but what you guys also accomplished through the design is help me understand why that character is actually an A-List supervillain, and I appreciate it!

Ha! Yeah, I am just a casual player, Thronebreaker. Solo. No alliance for years now. I just collect kits and test them, do one run of EQ and the side quest each month. Just enough for gold and rank-up materials to have fun

Kang is absolutely a major threat as a character, usually on par or comparable with doom as the 2 of them are often competing in comics. Hence its such a shame he got shafted in the mcu knowing his potential.

FYI a great comic about Kang if you’re interested is “Kang: Only Myself Left to Conquer.” It’s more so a story retelling his origin than showing his feats, but it’s still a damn good story and made me appreciate the character.

Kang goes back in time each time you K.O him for a few times, and make time move slower or faster in his speicals and a counter attack, his animations are sick too

If you wanna do it just for the sake of animations push him to SP3, die from it and watch the animation. It almost makes up for the revive you have to use.
