Recoil masteries

Hey guys,
I know the mastery loadouts are bugged right now but i've seen some streamers using the recoil masteries. Tried to put on recoils but they do not seem to work at the moment. I'm doing the arenas but the PI of my champs are so low even with recoils. What are some of your work arounds?
