Decrease in Prestige after rank up

My Wiccan was first had prestige of 11550+ at rank 2. But after rank up to 3 got his prestige down to 11320.
Can someone tell me how this happened or there is some issue in mcoc ??

Rank goes up, level goes down.
Everything is fine. Level him up, and you'll see a real change.

But that's never happened earlier with any champ.At first my rank2 Wiccan has higher prestige than rank2 Ebony Mau, but now rank3 Wiccan has lower than rank2 Ebony Mau. That mustn't be happened in any case.

Yes, occasionally, there may be certain champs (at certain Rarity, and Rank, also maybe partially due to which Masteries you may have) where they might lose a little Rating after taking them up another Rank (but before starting to Level them up afterwards).

Not often, but in some scenarios, yes.

Kabam has confirmed this sometimes happens in certain scenarios, and is NOT a bug.

Something about they may decrease in Rating a little, so that there is more room for increasing as you Level them up to max Level again afterwards.

And just FYI, that # you showed is NOT his Prestige, that is his Rating.

Prestige is a champs value WITHOUT Mastery, and is used when totaling a players, and alliances, Prestige #’s, for things like AQ, etc.
And so without factoring in Mastery is a lower # compared to their Rating which does include Mastery.

(But has nothing to do with why his Rating dropped after Rankup. It's just 2 different types of in-game numbers that Champs have. Used for different things.)

I’ve had this happen with Future Antman, I never really got an answer that made sense. I don’t care about Prestige but it was strange to see it go down. Sorry, I know this doesn’t help - but you’re not alone.
