AI change a bug or secret nerf?

Hello,
My alliance mates and myself noticed that AI HEAVILY changed his behavior in attacking after his heavy.
I was just fighting with Iceman vs NC in MODOK lab, and i attacked NC before he finished his heavy animation, and got caught by his SP1.
Its getting pretty unplayable while you keep doing silent nerf, changes, with obviously change the gameplay a LOT...
