Incursions gives good gold. Right now the event store gives 1 million a week. Gold used to be pretty scarce but catalysts are the harder thing to come by now.

Also the glory store has cheap gold crystals and you can get a bunch from the weekly events like level up too.

Dude, if you play MCOC regularly, and don't constantly rank up champions every other day, you'll have more than enough gold. I used to have a gold shortage back when I was an UC doing rank ups for act 6 pushing, where I would constantly be running out of gold due to all the rank ups I was doing. However, after I got past that phase and my rank ups slowed down, the gold quickly accumulated, and now I have more than 13 million gold with hundreds of gold crystals to spare. If you're running into gold shortages, just slow down your rank ups, and you'll be swimming in gold in no time.
