Wasted key on side quest because of ghost rewards on completed path

I used a key to re-run one of the side quest mazes (the one with Deadpool x-force) because it was still showing rewards on that one path. When I got in and did my first two fights, the rewards were gone and I’d wasted a key I can no longer get back.

Has this happened to anyone else?
