Point of Prestige?

In AQ, what is the point of Prestige? I just realised that points earned determine rankings (I thought Prestige was ranking and Points were milestone rewards). Does Prestige determine possible points earned (higher prestige = tougher opponents = more points for defeating ??). How much does Prestige really come into play? It seems Prestige can be sidestepped just by changing the Map level played.

    Prestige is possible points for a map. If we both do 5x5 you have 4k prestige and I have 5k prestige you can't beat me because you can't acquire an many points. Maybe you can beat me if you do a couple days of map 6 but if I do the same you can't win. Those points you can acquire from prestige also judges the difficulty of the map. Might mean a 9k opponent with higher prestige is 12k opponent. Hope that helps you.

    Greater prestige = Tougher Opponents/ More points = Better rewards ... Simple as that
