Of course 8 stars don't even exist right now...

But we know comparisons between 7 and 6 stars and even 6 to 5 stars.

Watched many videos after pulled my Mangog 7 stars and one of them showed that when you pull, without upgrade to full R1 , it's like a 6 stars R3.

If you upgrade to R1 (as I did) , it will be like a 6 stars between R4 or R5.

The same should be when 8 stars come...if...

@peixemacaco you brought up really old and inaccurate data. A r1 7* is about a rank 4.7 6* with the exception of sunspot who has higher stats as a r1 7* than the r5 6*. That is how 7*s have always been for us. Keep in mind that a r5 ascended 6* is only marginally higher than a r2 7* in attack and health. The difference is so marginal that I'd say they're about equal honestly.

We don’t know that. 8* are 5+ years in the future so it makes zero sense to be making thin arguments about them right now. For all we know they could be as strong as a 7* r4

However, that’s not relevant to the topic at hand, because 7* rarity has six ranks not five. Because of that, it’s likely 8* rarity will overlap around 7* R5, not 7* R4. And that means it is unlikely a 7* R3 even ascended (whenever we’re allowed to do that) will reach 8* R1 stats typically.

Note it’s possible a 7* R3 now might have similar stats to some 8* R1 in the future, because different champs have different stats. The highest 7* R3 in attack rating *could* equal the lowest 8* R1 in theory. However, I wouldn’t describe that as actually having an 8* champ in stats.

Basically, OP what some are saying that 8* champion are still far far away and 7* champion champions have long way to go before introduction of 8*s..

'speculation' on the power level of 8* rank1 champion as compared to 7* rank3 or rank4 are just that.. speculation on your part, kabam probably has not drawn up ideas about it yet.. no 7* rank4 or rank5 or rank6 are available, and there are limited means of getting 7* sig stones.. yes we are starting to see some 7* sig stones...but not in such high amounts.. once you see more 7* champions at rank6.. then speculation about 8* is understandable..

If you're gonna say there are players with sig200 7*.. yes! True there are few whales who own multiple 7* champions with sig200.. and multiple 7* rank3 champions too.. note: there is limited number of top whales in the world. regular guys and gals like you and me will have much harder time to rank3 and sig200 multiple 7* champions.

Personally, I'd rather not get excited about 8*.. I believe once 8* champion appears, there will be a max exodus of summoners.. imagine BGs where you or I play against 8* champion with our maxed ascend 6* rank5 sig200 or 7* rank2 and they get trashed easily.. or fighting an 8* Onslaught or Bullseye as final boss in AW.

Rank 1 5 Stars are similar to Rank 3 4 Stars
Gamora Attack Rating 694 vs 726 (+5%)

A Rank 1 6 Star has stats margoinally higher than a Rank 4 5 star
Gamora Attack Rating 1805 vs 1916 (+6%)

However a Rank 1 7 star is closer to a R5 6 Star
Gamora Attack Rating at Rank 4 6 Star = 3593
Gamora Attack Rating at Rank 5 6 Star = 4158
Gamora Attack Rating at Rank 1 7 Star = 4028

So the 7 star is +12% from a Rank 4 and -3% from a Rank 5.

What happens with 8 Stars (heaven forbid the become a thing too soon) could well end up being a different thing again. Could end up equivalent to Rank 6 7 star Stats (Then we use tier 3 primordial dust to extent 7 star shelf life).

I also just realized that kabam has not release new rank up resources.

What will tier 7 basic and tier 5 alpha catalyst look like? How much will it cost to even get a 7* to rank4, rank5 and/or rank6. I imagine the gold and iso would be at a staggering amount.. and also due to the enormous hp.. another concern is, will there be higher value health potions.

I am not really eager to fight a 7* Sasquatch rank6 sig200 in AW or in Battleground.
