Help me choose my next R3

Hello all. In a couple of days I’ll have my 3rd t4A and be ready for next R3.

Here are my current R3’s:


Here are my candidate R2s:


I’m primarily interested in a Cosmic, Skill, or Mystic champ since I’ve already got Mutant, Science, and Tech X 2. I’m leaning very heavily towards Venom as I have him awakened and have a duped 6* relic on him. He is already a beast at R2 so would love to see him at R3. Black Cat is a close 2nd. Sasquatch a more distant third.

I have two R1’s which are also possibilities - duped Crossbones (sig 20) and duped Knull (sig 20). Finally, I have one more mystic class selector I’m going to spin out in another day or two so if I pulled Chavez or Juggs they would be pretty high on the list also.

What do you all think?

Venom - Sig 20 - 6* awakened Venom relic

Venom is an insanely good champ with his relic. He ends all bg fights in 30 seconds, as long as opponents takes damage from bleed.

Also how good is ham at r3 unduped? Does he get kills in defense unduped? I'm planning to r3 mine with poolie rewards

My Ham is great, but I primarily use him on offense. That said, the two times I used him on defense he won. I want to get him duped before I use him more regularly on D.

Black Cat - Sig 20 - 6* awakened Black Widow relic

Venom or BC for attack, and Sassy if you really need a defender. I’m partial to BC personally

Yes I love my BC as well - particularly now that I have her awakened. She is definitely in the running - between her and Venom I think.

Anyone have any data on which of those two (Venom, Black Cat) benefit more from the R3?

Sasquatch - Sig 40

A sig 40 r3 Sassy would be very scary on defense, and he's still a nuke on offense no idea why people sleep on him so much. I'd definitely go Sassy.

I’ve opened 3 Mystic class selectors and gotten Sassy all three times. Going to open another one in 2-3 days and if I pull him a 4th time I might have to consider it. He’s already a pretty great defender at R2 though.

So this happened today. Thoughts on shifting to this guy as my R3 instead?



Personally I’m leaning against it (although obviously going to take him to R2 at the next level up event). Everything I’ve read says he does just fine at R2, and I think I’d also probably want to have him awakened before I R3 him. Since I’m guessing we’ll finally get a generic AG in July I’d happily use it on him if I don’t dup him before then.

So, Venom is still my lead option but I’d say Sasquatch has now moved into a closer #2 spot. I’m more strongly considering him since Juggs certainly juices my BGs offense.

Don't, he does what he does at r2. No BGs AW or AQ healthpool is big enough to survive r2 Juggs so r3 is kinda unnecessary imo.

Haha don’t worry. After another hour or so of thought I’ve pretty much decided it is going to be Venom. If I was making the decision on a pure BGs basis I would take up Sasquatch, but looking across game modes I think Venom is the better call for me.

The number of champs Felicia completely neutralizes is hard to grasp. Only negative is her double medium which…wait for it…can trigger AI reparry, like a couple of other top shelf attackers.

I definitely love my Black Cat @DrZola - she will almost certainly be my next R3. I’m something of a scrub so for me she hit another level when I got her awakened. The sig ability is really helpful both for my screwups and the persistent input issues we’ve been seeing.

She just shuts off so many annoying abilities. She’s also got a terrific set of synergy partners that let you build around Spiderverse or Wakanda champs (including personal faves like Silk and KM) as well as a useful one with Titania.

Just an all around smooth playing and great champ.
