None contact attacks vs damage reflection

Referring to path 7 section 1 in AW
Does none contact attacks of any kind ignore the damage reflection from nodes?

    No you will still take damage even if it’s non contact or damage overtime

    In tier 2, the damage reflection triggers when the defender purifies a debuff. This would mean ANY damage, whether it is physical, energy or direct.

    How come electro, attuma, korg etc damage reflections are being ignored by none contact attacks and this one isn't if so?
