will there be disadvantage for use primordial dust in early ranks of a champion

let's say that i used tier 2 primordial ducts on 6 star rank 3 magneto, then i rank him up to rank 5, will there be a difference (disadvantage) in the rating of the champion if i use the primordial dust after i get him to max rank and level?
