The game experienced a brief connectivity issue this morning. The team promptly fixed the issue and things are back to normal, thank you to everyone who passed along reports!
The next saga…

So we’re now in the third month of this 3 month saga event. It’s had its ups and downs that’s for sure, the night crawler buff is nice i guess and a lot of the rewards have been very beneficial. Was it worth it for the War and BGs nodes? I’m not sure, I get that they want to push us into engaging with the saga but nobody likes the global and at this point most of us are sick seeing it.
That’s not what I’m here to talk about bough, I’m here to discuss the next saga in MCOC.
Firstly let’s look at the classes of champion that have been used so far, there’s definitely been a push towards a skill defender/mutant attacker meta thanks to the nodes and how they interact with certain champions (looking at kingpins, bullseyes, Zeno’s and KMs). This has worked for the skill class but unfortunately for the mutant class it hasn’t worked so well. Many of the more meta relevant mutants were left behind (Kitty archangel onslaught to name the main ones). Don’t get me wrong I’ve ranked up my Emma frost and Collosus and I’m loving both of them, but really the tactic has failed to promote ranking up any attacker as a viable option. What I mean by this is that with the defensive node as powerful as it is, any of the magic thief defenders are a worthwhile investment of resources, but attacker rank ups are far more situational, it’s almost as if they didn’t mind giving some of the hardest defenders the tactic, but shied away from buffing the best attackers.
That’s enough yap though. Imo the next saga will focus more heavily on tech and cosmic champions, with mystic and mutant champions also getting a benefit. The weakest class at the moment in terms of hype and usage has to be tech, don’t get me wrong some of the new additions have been good moves, prowler, iron man, iron heart have all been solid additions, but a saga geared towards giving them either an offensive or defensive presence for a few months will open the doors of the game. I figure that kabam don’t want to completely pivot away from the current saga, there will be overlap champions, but I would be suprised if this overlap was skill dominant, imo they will likely be trying to prop up mutant (underperforming class) and mystics (mitigate the suffering of science dominance) whilst retaining the cosmic bandwagon in order to balance out against tech defenders/attackers.
On that note I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a couple tech buffs, tune ups to a few champions are definitely needed, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if people really started taking note of champions like Hulkbuster, HTD, Lady D and he’ll even war machine.
Interested in your thoughts on this but I hope with the experience they’ve gained from the past 3 months kabam can put together a really solid second saga and #MakeTechGreatAgain

So we may have a mix of classes in both attack and defense. Probably science tech as attack classes and mutant mystic as defense classes.
Non damaging debuffs are a common thing for both science and tech classes, which can be the attack tactic. And regen is common for mutants and mystic, probably be the defense tactic.
In this saga, Only skill class included the top bangers of the class, like KP, KB, NF, Bullseye. We didn't got onslut or kitty in mutant, doom abs man or chavez in mystic, or herc, hulkling and galan in cosmic.
I wish this time in tech we honestly get all the bangers like Ghost, nimrod and Fantman. They aren't gamebreaking anyways. Maybe they could limit the science class like, almost everyone in science is a banger lol.
Regarding buffs, we haven't had a skill or mystic champ buff in a year. And only 1 tech buff. So probably the buff would be in mystic/ tech. Also remember night crawler was a decent champ, decent in offense annoying in defense before the buff. So he just needed a tune up. A similar mystic champ is Dormammu, he just needs a tune up. If they are going to have tech saga, obviously the best champ to buff is Sentinel, especially when the storyline goes like mutants vs techs. I'm pretty excited to see what we are going to have.
