Relics on AW defenders

Is there any specific reason why relics are locked to aw defenders for the duration of war? I can’t seem to make sense why it would be a big deal to remove relics from defenders mid war. I find myself in situations like incursions runs where I place a good relic on a champ (bullseye) who is also a defender in AW. I was trying to set up my BG deck and the relic is stuck on him for two days. 😭😭😭

    Because they're locked. You can't remove a relic while a champ is locked into any quest.

    But we can used said “locked” champs in events while they are defenders during war. So I don’t really agree. If we can use the defenders placed in aw in events we should be able to remove relics

    Go into your relics in champs screen, unbind said relic, problem solved.

    I wondered the same thing until I realized I could do that yesterday.
