Has anyone randomly met another MCOC player in real life out in public?

I have seen people playing EQ, sq and arean. But never saw anyone doing Aw or Aq

Several of my students play it. They asked if I'd join their alliance. I declined.

I discovered 2 players. Both were my co-workers lol.
Co-worker #1 saw me playing one day on lunch and was like "yooooooooo you play too?!?" Lmaoooo

Co-worker #2 (months later at a different job) was off to himself playing something on his phone, but I wasn't paying much attention. He then said "damn....Sasquatch got me".

Me: looks at him with that THERE'S ONLY ONE SASQUATCH THAT I KNOW OF look on my face and said "did you say.....SASQUATCH??"

Him: "yeah lol".

Me *while noticing his phone was positioned sideways* "are you playing Marvel Contest of Champions??"

Him: "Yeah!! You play this game?"

Me: "Hell yeah!!"

And it went from there lol.

Well this game was recommended to me by school friend back in 2018. Since then I haven't met a irl person who played this game except my friend.

A co-worker introduced me to the game. A couple years later I found out my daughter's teacher played. We ended up in the same alliance for awhile. He doesn't play anymore while I'm still addicted!!!

Not yet my brother in law was the one who got me into mcoc he quit right after a year and I carried on till now

Yes. So the guy that owns the corner store up the street from my house. I went in there one Saturday to get something's and he was playing on his phone when he set his phone down to ring me up I saw it. We talk about the game every time I go in there.

I was buying MCOC Funko Pops at Barnes and Noble once back in 2018, and when I was checking out the cashier looked at the box and was like, “oh I didn’t know they made these for this game.” And I was like “you know Contest of Champions??? 😃” and she told me about how she used to play it. I got excited and like oh what’s your top champs, these ones are mine blah blah. Her highest champs had been 5* OG Captain Marvel and Colossus. She ended up needing to gently shoo me away to she could help the other people in line, cause otherwise I would have kept trying to chat about the topic haha

Last year, riding a train into Manhattan for work, I was playing AW, and as usual with mcoc, I was yelling a bit of profanity getting blasted. I musta caught attention from other riders, a guy walked up to me asking what was I playing. Usually you don't ask ppl what they're doing in nyc (i.e. everyone minds their own business). Though the guy was gonna start something or rob me. Then I noticed he was also on mcoc as well on his phone.
Here's the fricking kicker, we're both in the same alliance. In a city of close to 10 million and on the same train cart, we happen to be playing in the same alliance in mcoc in the same cart train. What are the odds.
