I am glad Kabam listened. I think this will make BGs a much more enjoyable experience, as outlined on @simula67 stream today:

I was one pushing for this ever since - a way to lose matches w/o necessarily losing all your medal progress. THis wll cut out much of the frustration of the VT especially in the vibranium tiers.
