Has anyone taken their 7 star Nightcrawler to rank 3 unduped?

Most people say that the 6 star ascended would be better due to the fact that one can max sig him, so I am curious if someone has ranked the 7 star even without the sig ability.

    MSD has him at R3, im pretty sure. Don't know about the dupe though

    His was unduped for a very short while now he’s sig 35

    I have no experience of the new buffed Nightcrawler.

    I have limited "my precioussss💍 🤣" rank up resources. Hope to get some advise.

    Who better to rank up for BG, mainly defensive, Undupped NC or Dupped Sauron?

    Only other Mutant ranked up is Bishop and Sunspot.
