Notification number

It says I have 3 notifications but when I click the globe it says "you have no new notifications at this time" I tried closing the app and refreshing the page but the numbers won't go away or let me read them

Actually it says "you do not have any notifications yet."

You may need to go back to all conversations that you starred and unstar them. I had this issue a few months back and it drove me insane

Happens if you had been in a Thread (so getting notifications for it), and then someone adds a bad comment who then gets Banned (type that messages are not even visible, so a worse Ban) prior to your seeing their msg.
Notification # will be present, but you can’t actually see it, so it does not clear the Notification #.

*not sure whether it has to be the LAST comment within that Thread, or even just some earlier comment.

I’ll have some # that won’t go away for a while. Then eventually it clears (maybe when their Ban ends) ?
Currently for me, it is the “Why so hard to navigate” Post, stuck on always showing 1 notif. on the Post.
