So I got her as 7 star... does she need the dupe to be good?

She is pretty good already, but she needs a time machine to go back to her rebalance and make Kabam actually fix her damage scaling to be great. The dupe is pretty helpful though, not absolutely necessary imo

Dupe helps , a lot infact.
I'm still baffled how kabam looked at her and said 'yeah this fine, there's definitely nothing wrong with how weird her damage scales , and that her lower rarities are actually more powerful than the upper ones'

They could have fixed it but they kept it fully aware that it's an anomaly

Kabam refusing to tone her 100% armour damage to 50% attack 50% armour really hurts her scaling a lot.

She had potential to be THE mutant killer but Kabam decided to give her L (for balance reasons but Onslaught, serpant defys every balance law in game already)

As her damage is based on armor rating yes she needs high sig for any meaningful damage as her dup gives armor potency and just extra potency per armor up for her ruptures

Or they could of just went sig boosts rupture damage and just make it scale with damage

Dupe is pretty essential for damage. High sig aswell I would say. That’s the way for her to stack armors faster and actually deal damage after the one minute mark. That’s her problem, she doesn’t deal any damage before the one minute mark in any fight. When we brought up the scaling issues Kabam dismissed them and it turns out they were wrong, her scaling is abysmal.

Thank you all she will stay at rank 1 for now until I awaken her or invest in the 6 star which is cheaper option.

She has great utility, recoil friendly, and safe to play. Unfortunately she is not fast enough to be great in BG, but I used her a lot in 8.3 and 8.4 exploration

Questing champ, occasional BGs attacker when meta favors her, durable and helpful for champs who aren’t immune to rupture (but immune to everything else).

Really needs a little more attack to be a great champ, but you could do a lot worse than LDS.
