8* when do you think they will come out, we are approaching 10 year anniversary for mcoc

Crazy to think I been playing since 2014. Growing old with this game is insane.

Do you think the game will survive another 3,5 or even 10 years down the line?

What more can be done for this game? We reach peak pvp with battlegrounds.

As long as whales are happy, game will be in great condition.
But the upcoming Banquet deals of Christmas can be big turning point,

They gave us 7* rank 1,2 and 3 in the first 6 months of introduction... they stated the progression will slow down after that as we have seen. We are only getting significant numbers of R3 7*s in high tier accounts ( not accounting for mega whales). since this past weekend when "many" accounts in top tier BG/AW now have more than 8 r3s.
The progress will be as below now that we can confirm the likely schedule based on previous releases .

yeah I don't think we are seeing 8 stars for some time. We are only halfway through 7 stars and haven't even got the awakening gems/generics yet. My guess? not for another 4/5 years hopefully.

I remember Kam saying 7* were supposed to be released around 2019 but because of covid they paused(?) introduction of 7* with that info they must have had 8* planned around 2021/22. When they finally got released it went fast with acquiring/ranking them up, sure they slowed down a bit as they said but I think the reason was because they had Necropolis in mind. My guess is they have "caught up" with what was planned, so 8* might be around the corner maybe within 12-18 months?
Pushing 7* longer then two years will be same as they did with 6*, players got bored and had nothing to do.

This is speculation thread, that’s why i I said if game will survive another 5,10 years and having 8* along the way.

All I’m saying is that we will eventually get there but when and how long will the game last till then.

I give it 2 to 3years and we will start seeing or hearing about 8*

When I downloaded this game back in 2014, 4* was most rarest and sought after, and we couldn’t even r3/4/5 champs lol. It was a whole different time back then, first 2-5 years of mcoc was prob the craziest and best times.

DIDNT think id still be playing 10 years later. Is that im saying,

In all seriousness though, as I said in another thread, I would bet a fair bit of money this game will see its 20th Anniversary. We are reinvesting heavily into the game right now, players will start to see some of the exciting things we have been working on in the second half of this year, including something that might be the biggest game changer since the game was launched.

6-stars were introduced in early 2018.
7-stars were introduced in (mid-)2023.

that's a 5 year gap. seeing as there is no rush to introduce r4 materials for 7-stars (not to mention 7-stars have 6 ranks instead of 5 + ascension is a thing now), I will assume that the gap between 7-stars and 8-stars will be the same, if not longer - that is, if the game survives until then. if they suddenly start fast tracking rank up mats etc, that could be the sign of the game running its course. but that's just my two cents.

Same could be said bout 5* yet 6* came out same could be said bout 6* yet 7* came out. I wouldn't hold my breath on us actually seeing 7* hitting r6 before 8* even come out.

This is how it always been we got 6s when 5 r5 materials dropped in act 5 since u had to pick a choice difference with 6 r5s and 7s was too late as miike said 7 was released late due to plan changed due to the whole 2020 but when we get our first glimpse of 7 r6 materials just watch for 8s then

There’s 6 ranks to a 7* and the highest rank you can get this far is 3, so probably a year or two after r6 seven stars are common place, although I would be fine if 7*s are the last star rarity permanently, I really don’t want to rebuilt the same roster over and over again with just a higher star level…
