My next r3

It seems like I can't pull a onslaught or bullseye from Titan. Hence I don't have a clear r3 choice.

Main focus is bgs + war + fun.

Here's my current r3s.


I'm leaning towards domino but she's unduped. And do sunspot really need the r3 or can he do fine at r2? I feel like it's time for a mutant/tech rankup

Allow me to controversialize the thread for a second here, but back when 7 stars didnt exist, almost nobody used Sunspot because of his impractical ramp up/play style. Now that hes a 7 star hes a top attacker, but is it because of the advantages that a 7* has over a 6*? If so then doesnt that beg the question that as 6* phase out and become the new 5*, that he'd end up being how he once was?

This isn’t true. No one used sunspot because of his limited utility and mostly just being a nuke didn’t matter as much for story content. Battlegrounds revitalized sunspot and his limited utility is now one of the best pieces of utility to have. He’s a hard hitter with PB and power gain that allows him to destroy a lot of matchups and remain relevant

Also I’d definitely say sunspot. Does he absolutely need the r3? Nah, but with r3 defenders being more common now, it’d be nice to have. Check on trappy on YouTube, but he can nuke through Maestro, Bullseye, Sassy, and a ton of other defenders. I’ve even seen him take serpent really well since he can PB and has good damage.

That answers it then, since damage is definitely more important than utility for BGs (case in point: Negasonic)

Sunspot became popular because of bgs. He is ideal for bg healthpools, He suck in story quest like healthpools.
He will remain relevant as long as bgs are relevant

Also wanted to chime in and say that Tits is great but the AI issues and potentially bugged intimidate have been letting her down. I’d wait until that’s fixed because she is way more unreliable now than she used to be, otherwise she’d have my vote. I’m probably holding off on ranking mine too

Guardian (Unduped (5* HB relic))

I first saw the rank 3 classes you didn't have a mutant and tech r3 so go with either peni Parker or guardian both are attacker instead of being a defender but peni Parker can be a threat on defence if opponent doesn't have counter and can be stupidly powerful attacker while guardian can do the same but guardian is not a defender unless sig 200 so it's your choice i would prefer guardian because he is common r3 but if you want to do different go with peni she would benefit you more

Is peni really that good? Her main damage is incenerate and a lot of meta defenders are incenerate immune + Her rotation is pretty strict so that's why I'm concerned

I was deciding between the nuke of Hulk and Sunspot and went with r3 Hulk. Let us know how good your r3 Sunspot slaps.

Why? His main damage comes from special attacks right? Will the small crit rate boost even matters? (His sp2 final hit is not gonna crit for me anyways lol).

You always want the specials to crit with him at least once, especially at r3 cause one single crit will nuke almost anything. As small as that boost might seem to you it makes a huge difference when he gets the crit, most people run that one for a reason lol
