Negasonic, any good or not?

Just pulled her from a titan, not the worst pull in the crystal for sure but not what I was looking for (prowler pleaseeeeeeee), wondering how she performs in

- BGs
- General questing
- War
- AQ?
- Any other special cases/uses

I’m doing some of my own “reading” on her but I’m still torn, to R2 her I’d have to finish off SoS which I’m kinda dreading so if she’s not great I can sit back and relax do it at the end of the month instead. (Or I take her up with BG rewards)

She’s the Mutant Human Torch, in that she counters most of the skill class. Everything she does is passive (even the parry stun, so she counters Killmonger and other purify champs, all her attacks are non contact, also countering Killmonger, Attuma and Korg, and she has some good incinerate damage. Though I wish her damage is higher, as she usually isn’t the fastest.

Defensively I find her kinda annoying, her animations are all over the place, plus she has that evade like Bullseye.

I was disappointed to get her too but then i saw a videos of her destroying the skill class. She destroys everything except night thrasher (incinerate immune) and kingpin special 2 (so bait it).

She is slow though and you need to keep those incinerates up by constantly light attacking or launching specials. Sometimes it feels like it would be better to take sunspot and just nuke the opponent but she is a safe option. Kind of like void back in the day before Kabam released so many op science champs.

Can use a little damage bump of more fire debuff you apply the more damage it gets instead of fixed value

Damage is just way too low to have any significant value over the others in the class.

She's not bad. She's a really good bullseye counter at sig 200 and beats him in about 40-50 seconds at equal ranks. She also can catch people off guard on defense as well. She's really nice for a lot of fights since her attacks are non-contact and all debuffs are passive. Utility wise, pretty good, but really is reliant on the opponent being able to be incinerated for damage.

Sorry but her damage is way too low to be branded the mutant Torch lol.

But to answer OPs question, Shes good if you dont care about BGs.

If BGs is your main priority then wait on ranking her until we hear from Kabam on her rebalance period, as how it stands now the damage is just too mediocre to be viable in BGs where time is often the deciding factor.

I kinda like her for incinerate immunes for questing u can just run a synergy that will give her ruptures instead but will still do everything she does with incinerates so the sp2 will grant 16 sp1 refresh for bgs ive used and shes not the fastest but she is good dual threat that u can place on defense if need too but its really down to u the player if u like her to feel ranking, for me i always just rank if i find them fun enjoyable or a cool double threat.

It’s a bit difficult to rate how good she is. I’ve been looking into her and playing her as I recently pulled her myself. Her design seems like something is missing, like they weren’t quite done.
Her passives and non-contact attack are great. However, she could have use a few additions or improvements to make her a really balanced champion in my opinion.

She has a really low health pool with no reliable damage mitigation or safety guards compared to other champ with similar health pools. No armor up buffs, resistance, regenerations, taunts, etc. Every 25s you can evade a M or L attack when opponent doesn’t have a special ready, that’s more of a defensive mechanic than offense. An improvement in this areas will help her both offensively and defensively.

In addition to this, she no immunities.

Her damage is alright, not bad and not great either. Given that the mutant class needs help to compete with the other classes, it would be nice if she had a little bit more damage. Maybe increasing the incinerate pause duration from her Light attacks might help or the incinerate damage overall.

Her sp3 seems useless to me. It could have increased the increase max cap by X amount for X number of times to make her viable for longer fights.

I sent a similar msg on another post but Kabam is reviewing it for approval.

I believe she is a good champ but her damage is meh. I hope they give her a slight tune up and increase her damage output or potency of her incinerates. Her health pool is not good so her damage output should be better to reflect that.

Thats not saying much when loads of other champs do her matchups much quicker, especially given that BGs matters more than most content right now .

Actually she has potential to be the mutant Human Torch, but yes, her damage could be higher.

The only reason you have to tank his sp1 is because you cannot counter his evade or have a passive stun to push him to sp2. With ntw you get both so why even let him throw an sp1.

I haven't tried this matchup but I am failing to understand how she cannot counter him.

If you're using NegaS and Bullseye uses sp1 then why are you even using her?

So I was supporting Negasonic as good at first, but she just doesn’t deal enough damage. Slow fights in BG’s and the UNFAZED mastery literally makes her a liability when bullseye or other defenders can go unstoppable and wreck you as she evades during her rotation. Her health pool can’t take much block damage and she can’t block unblockable specials. KABAM, I’m only one voice but she’s not doing what she was built to do. She should have a slow passive to counter unfazed mastery (unstoppable) and her incinerate damage needs a ramp up. Mr. Sinister can block unblockable specials from skill class, regen like crazy and inflict insane degen damage. He appears to be the skill destroyer not Negasonic like she was hyped.

I've been saying this since the day her deep dive came out, but these CC's keep r3ing her and saying she's okay as is. They never speak for the community and for some reason it seems kabam only listens to them. Negasonics damage IS TERRIBLE. It's too low. It's almost unreal a 6* r5 can barely tick for 1k after the first Sp2 that's is garbage and I just know I KNOW she's not getting a tune up. Since sable is trash they might only give attention to her and ignore negasonic since she's somewhat useable.

I agree with you and hope Kabam makes some adjustment to her but I don’t have much faith it will happen as the CC’s unfortunately think she’s fine as is. Vega puts out great content on his channel and appreciate him, but I have to disagree with him on Negasonic. He was afraid she would be too strong and said he spoke his concerns about her being too strong and was happy with how she was released. My R2 awakened Negasonic can’t even finish a R3 Korg fight and if she does it’s down to last second in the alotted time in BG’s. I’m not dying just can’t finish the fights with her optimal rotation.

Honestly her damage is okay, wouldn’t mind a tune up but she has one of the highest crit rates in the game which is noticeable if you’re looking at more than just the dot numbers. But personally I feel like she’s lacking in the utility department, maybe they were afraid of her having all passives and that it might be too strong but I feel like she needs some real immunities or something. Because a lot of the time the skill defenders I want to use her on are impossible due to nodes.
