Am I alone?

As someone who has been playing this game with multiple accounts since Month 1, I feel that we (or just I) am in a weird spot. I recently left my alliance of several years (only 4 alliances in my 10 years) as I don’t feel the game is going the right direction. Kabam talks about needing new players, which it absolutely does, but I feel more and more long term players are getting disenfranchised.

I am not sure if it is the monotony of most of the content, perpetual bugs (I know all games have them), AI issues, lack of exciting champs (most of the deathless have been duds and recent new champs since NTW have been so boring), slow rewards buffs, old outdated content that needs updating (looking directly at you Sunday arenas), and/or your typical Gatcha luck. Onslaughts release was the high for me as I have wanted that champ in the game since day 1, we also had Kushala, Bullseye, WWBN, Destroyer, Dust, White Tiger, Serpent, great Sinister, Red Skull, and Gladiator buff. Recently outside of BRB, they have all been mid at best. Now there is a huge number of months where I am not going care about the Titan crystal, that is sad as it was one of the most exciting crystals until this one.

I have loved this game and really hope that the 10yr celebration can be exciting and bring the passion back for this game, but after the lackluster 7hr crystal and the okish 14 day calendar, I just feel they are falling farther and farther out of touch. Again, maybe it is just me as I have done just about all the content there is and have almost every 6*, I just really want something to get excited about again.

As I said, maybe it is just me, but I am feeling pretty down on this game and am hoping to find that excitement again. Anyone have any suggestions?

I completely agree, however the more I have been thinking about it, I think the bigger issue is the champs. Let’s be honest, a lot of us play this game for the really cool champs. And it has been dud after dud for several months. Let’s see how this months champs pan out. I might actually buy the bundle with Enchantress. That would be the first time since Onslaught that I buy one of those.

BRB is awesome on attack from all the videos i seen but I don't know how Enchantress will be her ingame info looks like a big book of encyclopedia

I never quite know how to respond to these. It is truly amazing to me that people have completed every single piece of content in this game, as someone who is a little older and has a job/family. I am totally serious

I know that some people are really good at the game and have more time. It’s not a criticism of anyone. Some people are really, really good at this game and have the ability to dedicate more time, be an active member of strong alliances, and that’s great — as an old gamer, I always will respect skill and achievements and dedication

But if you have multiple accounts and still are bored or dissatisfied with the game’s direction, don’t particularly enjoy the game’s direction over a sustained period, why not just take a break from the game? A month or two? Play something else for a while?

To be clear, I am not saying “quit.” Not at all. I absolutely don’t want this to be construed as negative or a criticism

But if you just take a break, try something else and focus on something else, give yourself and the game time to breathe, maybe you will remember what you enjoy about the game instead of focusing on what you don’t

When it comes to the champions of this game you have to adjust your mindset, because truthfully if all champions were based solely on the comics you'd end up with a extremely boring game from the start, which is funny because Herc is a prime example of that; he's literally broken and now they have design around him but from his origins he's working as intended. As someone who has been playing the game for the same amount of time coming off of a three year break I had to find my own way to make the game fun. One thing I am doing is enjoying each champion individually and not worrying about who is OP, find out the best counters based on nodes combos that literally make a fight zero effort. I agree that the old content could use a update especially where the game is currently, and the Act 5 update was amazing and shows what could be if they decided to really focus on it. New content is great but for the top end players they breeze through it because of the sheer amount of champions and knowledge of the game itself.

Does anyone not realize the reason rewards are lackluster for reunion is bc the milestones for summer of suffering is where the buffed rewards are. You can't have juicy rewards in every aspect of the game.

I was originally in a Masters/Plat 1 AW and too 30 AQ alliance. Don’t think I am amazing at the game, but would say I am ok.

I too am on the older side with a family and make good money. I play mostly when I travel for work. Recently I have switched position and have not traveled as much, that could be part of it too.
Over the last 10 years I have taken a few breaks, maybe this is a good time.

All I do a lot of the time is just log in, maybe do something like BGs, and then just play a different game. Mcoc is a really fun game, I enjoy the story, like in EQ, but there is no reason why it should be a main game for someone to play if they have already completed everything.
