Weird bug in Battleground or exploit?

I was in match 3 in battlegrounds and was not able to do any damage to my opponent and my champions rating was changed to 0. Not sure if this is some weird bug I never came across before or if it was an exploit by my opponent.

Same. Fortunately it was our first match and my opponent couldn't do damage either. I won the next two matches so no big.... until emergency mantainence nuked my next fight!
