Not sure what route to go with the Reunion selector.

My first two Reunion crystals were Punisher 2099 and I-Hulk. I think I want to go Venompool with my selector, but a few people in my alliance say I'd be crazy not to dupe Punisher. The main thing stopping me is that my Ascended 6R5 (Sig 160) always seem like he got stomped, so I'm not sure that him being 7* will make that much difference, but I'm definitely open to being persuaded.

If you're not interested in Man-Thing in the slightest, definitely go P2099. I have Venompool and although he is a great quester, his damage in BGs is extremely mid.

P2099’s dupe really helps him ramp a bit faster. I preemptively took mine to R3. Took him against Winter Soldier and got this. I’m pretty impressed by the damage.

I’m in exactly the same situation ( iHulk and p2099) but was thinking about Wags because I really like him. I think I’m going P2099.

Hopefully I’ll dupe my Wags if they ever release these champs in the regular crystals

I think if you do serious BGS then the Punisher dup is the way to go.

My general philosophy when it comes to these types of decisions is to pick a first-time pull of any champion I want and focusing on awakening them later. Things might be different if I had the choice of awakening someone like Nick Fury where his awakened ability is absolutely essential to the character, but while I value Punisher 2099's awakened ability a lot, it simply isn't as important as certain champions' must-have awakened abilities. It's nice and it shortens the time it takes to reach overdrive by maybe 10 seconds, but you can compensate for that with an SP1.

Basically, I think Punisher 2099 is still usable without his sig ability while Venompool obviously isn't usable if you don't have him at all. I personally like VP quite a bit and took mine to r3 as soon as I pulled him.

I had exactly the same scenario and went venompool. May not be the best choice but I am happy with it

You might be the only player with an unduped r3 Venompool. Well done.
