Don't get these top level players crying about Serpent

As an average player who has struggled with lot of tough defenders. And if at times some defender felt too tough, or costed multiple revives, I have let out some frustration in forums as well. I can't deny that.
But then don't forget how us average players get looked down when we rant with
- get counters
- skill issue
- too easy
- but ban it, we do get 3 bans don't we

But seeing all these content creators who are some of the top level players in MCOC cry about serpent, for some reason now I am at peace, all my frustrations are washed away. Does the above response don't apply to them. Just because they have a challenge now, its a problem.

I really wanna see serpent stay the same as it is. We already have counters, took down 2 serpent in war today, 1 death each, have had worse with other defenders, so don't see a problem. We have heard these top players asking for challenge, so there it is - a challenge, now since you can't get a perfect score doesn't suddenly make the challenge unfair. Shoutout to Vega583, his video made most sense.

The game will only progress, we will see more counters and we will see new mechanics to counter as well.

Though side note: Kabam could you please hurry with the AI fix, tough defenders we can handle, AI on top do make things worse.

I hate bullseye more than, even with counter, 1 silly mistake he just wipes you out. Though I haven't been following up on what nerf he got. Also, usually most of the outrage comes from which champ a person has and if it gets nerfed. Usually from what I have seen they nerf something if it works more than its intended. They did say serpent being god of fear they wanted him to be like that.

I view all MCOC created based on the content they post, I don't have a bias there, I watch even KT1 and even saw the Nagase video on White mags and Serpent which was felt like you forced yourself in a position to suffer.

KT1 always points out everything so, him complaining on serpent is consistent and I can't disagree there. Issue happens when people bring their bias and are not consistent.

Also, I have no Idea who Andy is, Vega I only recently saw.

Youtubers doing campaigns to get serpent nerfed that's hilarious, he's an awesome all around champ , and all you need to fight him is a direct counter like that's ez enough since there's several, people want to play against boring defenders they praise busted attackers but cry about a busted defender makes no sense

Sooo true. OP gets it. If serpent is obnoxiously difficult, everyone suffers; bad players, good players, the best players, every single one. Now that's what I call UNITY. We can all suffer together as one big happy family. No one saying "git gud", instead we get to see more "I feel u bro, he sucks. Not your fault 💪." See? Very wholesome.

And I agree. I haven't been able to solo him consistently. not everything has to be a solo. As long as that don't start adding serpent in regular paths. I don't see an issue.

Actually in the context of war, Serpent is miles easier than bullseye, especially on boss nodes.

Serpent is easier than most defenders imo, in war.

Only in bgs, He is tough, as there are like only 20 champs who can actually kill him before time out, and none of them do it in less than 60 sec and more than 90% health, unless you play perfect, and even when using counters you are still in a gamble.

But yeah, it is funny to see top players losing their minds once, haha, But their reason is as valid as yours, if not more.

This is a fair way to look at the situation, but it misses the point. The calls to nerf Serpent arent because he’s too tough, but it’s the way he goes about being a tough defender. His kit, more then any other leans so far in the RPG direction that he almost completely devalues skilled game play to defeat him, or in putting up competitive scores. He crossed lines that Photon, Korg, Onslaught, etc. don’t cross in that direction as there is no out skilling Serpent’s kit, something these other tough defenders allow for.

And then if you do get him down there’s a better of good chance of the fight going completely haywire through the most unbalanced powergain we’ve ever seen, one which can be made even more insane through external nodes and one where really only Chavez actually addresses the powergain. In a game of this many champs there is only a single counter to his main threat.,, that’s bananas.

the funny thing about so much of the 'RNG' abilities tied to serpent defensive problems can only be solved with non-general solutions the game provides i.e. dex, intercepting and the likes but with specific counters that just makes the list of counters very small.
with the ai getting seemingly worse every month is just making him a better defender and worse to face

They aren't buffing champions that are performing as they want them to. Ironheart and Destroyer are absolutely fine as they are

It was specifically so that if he doesn't throw his special you don't lose all her health dexing him to bait it out. It was a good change

Dude he's already one hellish defender with undexable specials, insane power gain (and by insane, I mean really insane!), and so much block damage. Imagine him on any node where u can't block his specials, or he has an unblockable buff or passive(in any general quest), what will u do? Forget that, remember the invade node, where block penetrations of both the attacker and defender are increased by 300%, how will I survive even a single special? Imagine him with those nodes and on top of that, power axis, or enhanced power gain/energize, will u even be able to hit him in between his specials? U guys saying that he will be getting counters so no need nerfing him have clearly not understood other player's POV. Don't get me wrong but I'm assuming 90% of those players are P2W players, so they can probably get that champion from opening couple of crystals or buying the early access bundles. If the quest node gives him immunity to power alteration(which is very common nowadays) or empyreal defense(if u don't know, this node is made to make 90% of mystic attackers useless), how will u counter him. Not always can u have a Kushala on your team, because the quest nodes moght be restricting, or maybe she might get banned in bgs, so what are u even supposed to do in long fights. The person who said that not every fight is supposed to be solo, either he's P2W, or he's having tons of expiring revives, or hasn't fought serpent much. In the boss island in aw, serpent takes the place of rich get richer, or enhanced power gain/buffet/masochism(power gain) or aspect of chaos(whatever the name is, where when defender gains a bar of power, they gain many boosts for rest of fight), extinction protocol(enhanced combat power rate for rest of the fight when gaining a bar of power), will u even survive throughout that fight. To the guy who said not every fight has to be a solo, enter a quest and play using unnecessary counters, and then complete the entire quest with 20 deaths, i am waiting here for your response on that topic. I haven't even mentioned other such nodes where he can be a nightmare. Before u even counter his power gain, he's already used 2 specials, which ain't no joke. So widen your thoughts and speak up for the entire community like I did. Bans for BGs with those nodes , and common sense that kabam will introduce more champs that can block unblockable attacks and evade serpent specials , people is overreacting to a defender that requires skills to play against and forgetting that every month we got 2 new champions , those counters are definitely coming

Please show me an amazing score in BG against him that’s not from a meta that directly makes mystics better. I’ve seen top level players punch down with a r3 to a r5A and still take 80 seconds because he’s just so broken. He has no counters right now, he can fail neutralize too. If you get lucky it’s a 55-60 second fight which is still awful

Skill as in not being able to dex undexable specials? Not being able to deal with ridiculous power gain once he gets death immunity? Not being able to nuke him quickly under 50 seconds?

I don’t think that is a skill issue or aspect in fighting him

Not always, sometimes Serpent doesn’t play ball during the death immunity phase and he jumps straight to a sp3.

I don’t think that is a skill issue or aspect in fighting him

U can parry the specials ,that requires skill ,
You can save energy and the relic to keep him busy during the Immortality also requires skills
Not being able to nuke him , so you want to nuke him in 30 seconds but you don't want to have a challenging fight , I call that skill issue

Kabam is 'happy' with his current state, but the only point is that it shall be us who should be happy with the game and its state, not them. Hope my argument has made the sense which some of us had probably lost.
Bans for BGs with those nodes , and common sense that kabam will introduce more champs that can block unblockable attacks and evade serpent specials , people is overreacting to a defender that requires skills to play against and forgetting that every month we got 2 new champions , those counters are definitely coming
Skill as in not being able to dex undexable specials? Not being able to deal with ridiculous power gain once he gets death immunity? Not being able to nuke him quickly under 50 seconds?

I don’t think that is a skill issue or aspect in fighting him
U can parry the specials ,that requires skill ,
You can save energy and the relic to keep him busy during the Immortality also requires skills
Not being able to nuke him , so you want to nuke him in 30 seconds but you don't want to have a challenging fight , I call that skill issue

What a horrible take. He’s a busted defender. He’s not like any of the others before him, and he’s the only one who can stall even his best counters so long. What if he doesn’t throw specials? He’ll still stall for 12 seconds guaranteed at the end. Lmao yeah totally a skill issue that no champ in the game can take him in a sufficient time. What a joke
