Changing alliances during raid week?

So if someone changes alliances during a raid week, they either forego the rewards for the current AQ by leaving before rewards drop or they can’t participate in a raid and get nothing for the upcoming week. Is that accurate?

Its not either, you forgo rewards AND you can't do raid in new ally. Leave now if you wanna leave . You need to join before raids

You miss out on one week or the other, then. Thats not the case with AQ because someone can join Monday and play every other day except Monday.

Once raid starts you can't join a different day. In AQ there is 4 separate AQ days, that's why you can join on a different day. Raid has a start day and an end date only. So technically there is only one raid and not 4 separate raids.

Raids starts Monday.
You play your raids.
You have to join an alliance before next Monday before raids starts.
Get your 3 chests and final chest in current alliance. Leave. And join new alliance.

You'll miss out on rank rewards for the week. 10-20k radiance, but you can still participate for next three weeks with no sacrifices.

That's how it is.

It will also mean losing completion and exploration rewards for the map. If you switch alliances, you will only get the raid chests for the week you make the swap.

You'd be in the alliance too late for the next round and just miss that week instead. Gotta be in 24 hours ahead to be able to participate.

AQ is different than raids. The timing works for AQ.

Yeah, I did that after Raids ended and hopped in for aq.

My reason for asking was different. I was trying to figure out if I we can replace a habitual late joiner and "just-enough" contributor in raids without depriving them of their participation rewards. I guess we'll wait until raid month's done.
