I saw someone else make the point of “what else are you going to do with crystals other than open them. Thought it was some good insight. The only reason that’s definitively justified would be pools updating with new champs

If the rewards aren’t that great I won’t open the ones I’ve saved. Why should I bust open a ton of crystals all at once, flood my overflow and end up losing/selling everything that I get? Doesn’t really make much sense. I save crystals so that I can open them when/if I need the resources.

I see 5/6* shards as more 7* shards because I have most of them already

For sure, I have between 700k and 800k 5* shards sitting. I open some class ones when I need ISO. I’m not going to bust them all open for nothing

Everyone is going to contribute to some extent unless you refuse to open any crystals during the event, I guess. But I have about 14k crystals saved up and I’m not going out of my way to open them all just for this event, is more what I think we’re talking about.

Where can you see how many crystals are opened? All I can see is the in game message, that takes me the current ongoing events, but can’t see the realm event in there.

They stated that the rewards are what they are because it is a test. Rewards will be better in future events, but they want to collect response data. So there's a good chance that a lack of participation is only going to negatively impact future realm events.

I'm not opening everything, but I'll be opening my random quest crystals, some sig crystals, an the cav objective crystals, mostly stuff I've been too lazy to open.

But yeah, my crystals I use for ISO are remaining untouched

Check the event. It says X/X crystals contributed

I started opening a bunch of lower crystals like T4CC fragments but after looking the rewards for event are kinda meh. As a Valiant player we don’t even get a solid 7* and with my luck I’ll pull a 6* from final milestone Exalted crystal.

Also as others have mentioned above I don’t want to flood my overflow and then not have resources available when needed.

Cool idea but event is lacking IMO.

This doesn’t make sense to me… “here’s an event with crappy rewards so make sure you open all your crystals so we can see participation, then we’ll do an event in the future with better rewards but then you will have already opened all your crystals and won’t get those rewards anyway.”

I’m not going to open a bunch of crystal just to have massive overflow I have to deal with in 30 days just to pull a 6* from the exalted crystal. It’s not that serious.

Hello. Just to be clear, when I said this was a test I was referring mostly to the technology. The next Realm Event is already being built, participation in this one isn't going to impact rewards. We just want to make sure all of the technology is working properly before we offer anything crazy.

Having said that, I personally will happily open a bunch of gold and solo crystals for some free Units and Dust.

I had 1600+ arena boost crystals. I never use arena boosts because I never grind for more than milestones. Went ahead and popped 1000 of them, took like two minutes of mindless button pressing and now I’ve hit my minimums for the event. My stash will look crazy for a couple days, but I don’t care since I don’t use these items anyway.

If it wasn't so annoying to open crystals I'd be more inclined. I did almost 5k so far but to do more I'll have to buy then pop the solo crystals, ugh.

I;ll just wait till the end to see if it's needed.
