I don’t think you can even parry her sp2. You can only parry the sp1

On Photon’s official page, it says the final hit of her sp1 is passively unblockable except against well timed blocks. However it doesn’t say that on her sp2

You indeed can’t. In pure light form, the last hit of Photon’s sp1 is unblockable except against well-timed blocks, giving you a bit of an out. On the other hand, sp2 is just straight up unblockable on all hits, no mercy.

Correct. Her Sp 2 while in PLF is unblockable, undexable. Only awakwned Shuri can block it. And Sinister, and Stryfe I think.

My guess is that she'll be kind of a "Let's teach the community how to fight her properly" type of defender. I think she'll have more nodes on her than Onslaught had since she's still been out for just over a year at this point, but I doubt that it'll be one of those fights with a super intricate combination of nodes.

I'm actually kind of exciting. A lot of these "OMG, how am I going to beat that champ!?" fights have been a fun learning experience. It's taken quite a lot of sweat, pain and tears, but I've ultimately learned valuable lessons from it. Hopefully it'll be the same this time.

I'm actually a bit more wary about Toad. He's the type of defender that can be really annoying while simultaneously not quite hard enough to warrant a "Let's take it easy with the nodes this time" approach from Kabam's side. That can lead to a very annoying fight.

a bonus for this fight is i remembered she is unduped, saw it somewhere on twitter. So she will still be an annoying fight, but at least she wont have that BS block damage from the duped

There's an interesting part I saw on YouTube: if you whiff a light attack, Photon's timer begins for activation of Pure Light Form. Strike into block when she reaches 10 charges and she has at most 1/2 a bar of power, then play defensive. If it comes to, block sp1, do not push to sp2. and boom, pure light phase bypassed in 10 seconds.
