War rating issue

Last season we were g5, we've lost 2 wars, now its showing as s1

That's a massive drop for 2 wars, this can't be right

Last season matter not, your points start at zero again. Your tier matters as its a multiplier even when you lose.

However you've lost 2 out of 3. Give it time.

You start off next season we're you were the one before so this season we should of started at the top of gold 5, yes we lost 2 but that should not have dropped us, through 5 then 6 into s1

You don't. You start the season at exactly zero points, If you didn't play a war you'd end up at the lowest rank.
The only thing your carrying from the previous season is your war rating. This is important as its a multiple on the number of points you get per war.
A high war rating alliance that loses (and still clears the map) gets more points that a lower war rating alliance that wins.
Easily the most important thing in war is to clear the map. The next most important thing is probably going to be your diversity with your attack bonus probabaly last.

I don't know how badly you've lost, but if you're not clearing the map or have low diversity you can fall quite quickly.

No, no, nope.

Your SEASON POINTS starts at ZERO at beginning of each season.
Just like professional sports, standing start at 0 - 0 to begin each year.
And Season Ranking (Silver/Gold/etc) is based on Season Points compared to everyone else.

Now, what does carry on is your War Rating, which determines your Multiplier Tier (and Map Nodes, etc for a war).

So having a similar Multiplier (depending if you maybe lost off-season wars, you make have lost W.R. And thus dropped down a multiplier) does sort of keep you within a limited range during the season.

Anyways, those other alliances you claim jumped up in Ranking so far this year even though lost their wars…
Do you know if maybe they used to run only 2 BG wars in previous year, and now are running 3 BG wars (thus more points, thus higher ranking).
Or maybe they were newer teams, still jumping up with higher and higher W.R., so now are actually getting higher Multiplier Wars that earlier portion of last year. Thus, again, higher multiplier as they grow from a young alliance, equals higher Points, and ranking.

assumed you were based on a semi low-ish alliance, at bottom of Gold or top of Silver.

But now I see that no, you are avg player rating of 4.8 M. (so not really low)

So, have you been running only 2 BG this season ? Versus some 3 BG prior season.

Or something other than always full 3 BG (with full Defense Placement, since Diversity now counts as a HUGE PORTION of your war points, versus some seasons ago).

If you are only doing 2 BG, or have sparsely populated defense, that could very well be that other alliances have changed to running 3 BG now themselves, etc, etc.
