T2 vs T1 Wars. Having random champions selected as bans?

My alliance recently dropped to T2 in war. Should have 3 bans right? Our bans are Lady D, Omega Sentinel, and Silk. We check our bans and it has 5 banned with Electro and Hela.

Appears we’ve been matched with a T1 alliance given they have 5 full meta bans.

So not only do we get less points if we beat this T1 alliance in war, but we’re at a further disadvantage because they have 5 relevant bans and we have 3?

Make it make sense?

These were our bans 2 days ago while we were in t1; no officers have changed them to include electro and hela.

Second straight war as a t2 ally being matched with a t1 ally. They get their 5 global bans and we get 3 plus 2 random bans (instead of the ones we selected for t1 wars). Again, this creates an uneven playing field in high-tier war.

Still nothing from Kabam on this issue.

From what I've been told, you have to have manual placement for the maps defense. Then you can choose the bans for both t2 and t1 wars. If you have autoplacement, it will just throw in the random bans when you face T1.

How is this ok?

What is your war rating? I ask because if you're right on the border between T1 and 2 you'll sometimes be matched against an opponent in the other tier. Frustrating - it's happened to us a few times

We had this not long ago. But our bans were imiw and iron fist.. two top tier attackers 😂

We had changed it to manual to set our t1 bans; this is what it looked like there but still the random bans.

So update…

We’ve lost 5 wars in a row, 3 of which involve their 5 meta bans to our 3.

We’re in clear T2 now and we just got matched again with a 5 ban (them) vs 3 ban (us).

I’m over this…

That’s exactly the problem. We’ve been between T1 and T2 since we lost and dropped down. I just don’t understand how this is a thing. Like not only in a T1 vs T2 match, if we win we get less points… but we have 2 less meta bans in a meta that is clearly not the greatest. Like just keep kicking us while we are down.

My bug report to Kabam had the response that since this is affecting the entire community, once it is fixed they’ll compensate accordingly.

I don’t think this is affecting the entire community. It affects the small portion of allies stuck in high t2 who can’t make it into t1 because they have to play 5 bans vs 3. It is very demoralizing to those allies.
