New to MCOC I have 3 questions?

3 Questions;

How do I change my avatar?

What is the best way to earn cash besides spending real cash?

What if any is the best way to go about getting a particular character for my team? I want to aquire Star-Lord like ASAP and I've just started out and so far I have Iron-man, Spiderman (both I think we're given to me by The game when you start) and then I got Gamora some how w/ a Crystal?

Any and all recommendations are greatly appreciated. I just came off of playing MHO because it got shut down and I'm looking to scratch my Marvel itch. MCOC or the other Marvel game for phone (I forget name, I've played it for a little but it's a not all that. For this game I really want to customize my team and not just have random question Heroes.

Well...
1. Click on your profile and change picture on the subsequent screen.
2. Do arena. Grind it like nobody's business.
3. Do arena right now. Star Lord is the basic 4* champion this week. If you are truly a newbie a score of 1 million might just get you the champ you seek.

Nice avatar...guessing number 1 can be checked off the list. You should focus on the special 2* arena too btw. Starting off even with a weaker 5* from achieving all the milestones in it would set you up to complete the monthly heroic special event and Act 3.

Yea if you have enough two stars just grind the special arena like crazy, it might take forever but you'll get that five star which will exponentially improve your progression as a new player

If you are looking for strategies for playing the game without spending money, I would recommend watching Brian Grant's channel (ContestChampion). He doesn't spend any money, ever, and while he does farm the game like crazy, anyone could adopt his strategies at a smaller scale. Here's a video he did recently talking about how he farms units in MCOC, the "currency" in this game:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1JGd3tsBTaE . He can farm 7000 units per month and that's the equivalent of about $230 in cash if you bought those units. I think the best way to summarize the big lesson from that video: little things that seem small add up fast when you do them repeatedly over a month of time.

If you're new to the game, I would also recommend Dorky Diggity Dave's channel. He has a lot of good videos describing and teaching how to use the basic combat tactics and skills for the game among other things. His MCOC Training Series playlist I think should be required viewing for new players.
