His specials are easy to dex.
Manage the poisons right and they will actually heal you.
He doesn't have that high of a health pool.
Keep him out of the corner and his regen is barely a factor.

He's not a difficult champ to beat and is incredibly reliant on having the right nodes to become a worthwhile defender.

Not saying he can't perform well on D from time to time, really just doubling down on him not becoming an easier or less scary champ because of this fight.

Any heal block champ can toast him.

I can’t get over the AI difference between champs. It was like Deathless vision had a permanent taunt and infuriate on Toad while other champs had a 200% intimidate on him.

And also the champ itself. Enchantress is very likely to throw her sp1. Killmonger and Venom are super aggressive and are very willing to throw their specials too

At risk of repeating myself for the umpteenth time, this is not a Toad problem. It's not a node issue either. The fight is fairly easy if you're doing most of the objective.

XL champs have always had issues baiting specials. Pick any XL champ and try it out. In fact I can't remember which streamer mentioned it but as soon as they saw the XL objective, they made a comment about baiting specials.

This is been an issue for ages and yet another issue that Kabam has promised to address...

The size and different hitbox/dashback distance is very important in baiting specials.
Xl champs gets affected the most. Pretty sure you know that, but way too many doesn't. And then scream on ai.

The video is funny, but juggy being XL, you guys have to observe how far behind his dash back distance actually is. Ai won't throw special.
Shallow dex is the only way to get a special out of a defender in this case.
Toads Sp1 has close proximity, while his sp2 has long range so he throws sp2 while less baiting.
