Has Nick Fury always been designed this way?

I’ve recently noticed that when I fire away a special attack and Nick gets to his second life in the middle of that special attack, he wakes up as soon as the second life starts and starts blocking in the middle of my successful special attack. Has this always been how he’s designed? It’s kinda frustrating lol

Yes and furthermore what about the “invisible” unstoppable of

    1. Phoenix when regeneration kicks in
    2. Immortal Hulk when regeneration kicks in

    It's more a "miss" than a unstoppable.

I’ve always known about those 2. With Nick Fury, I only started encountering it recently

Those are supposed to be like that. It’s referred to in their kits as going “invulnerable”. Adam also gets a bit of invulnerability when he exits the stasis pod. It’s a specific mechanic that just happens to be underutilized, not a bug.

As for OP, yeah I think it’s something that started around the time Nick started ignoring Dani and Toad’s abilities to deny his second life and it’s been here since. Don’t really got much to add unfortunately besides it sucks and just avoid killing him with a special when possible.

He has always been that way. If your champion has unblockable specials and the specials are long enough, then it is safe to throw. Otherwise you just have to get lucky and hope your special hits after his invulnerability frames and before he recovers and blocks.

Gotcha, thanks. I’ll keep that in mind from now on when fighting him
