Anyone else having MCOC freeze/crash their device? No other applications, just MCOC.

I'm running an iPhone 6+, fully updated iOS and MCOC. Tested on WI-Fi and Data.
The game itself doesn't to seem to crash but it basically crashes my entire device. First, it'll freeze the screen. Home, lock and volume buttons all rendered useless. If I do nothing, and leave the game running, it stays frozen the majority of the time. But after about 15-30 seconds, my phone buttons work again but are extremely laggy. At some point, the phone will finally lock but it still takes a while to re-open my device and force close the game. No other application on my phone does this and no other application runs in the background.
No complaints, just this has been happening more and more after the last two updates.
