For immediate release October 10, 2024 - The Battlerealm

The Stark Foundation today announced its new Perfect Match campaign to support Summoners across the Battlerealm to achieve their goals and push to new heights. Inspired by its founder’s love of the Battlegrounds, the Perfect Match campaign will ensure that no Battlegrounds match is played in vain.

In the furtherance of this campaign and the Foundation’s mission, the Foundation intends to donate hundreds of millions of points to Jack’s Battlegrounds Blitz. The first of these donations has already been made, with additional donations planned as the event proceeds. At the end of the event, all points donated by the Stark Foundation will be credited to the Bastion of the event.

“By supporting important community initiatives like Jack’s Battlegrounds Blitz Realm Event, we can have a real impact on the lives and experiences of the Summoners,” said a spokesperson from the Foundation. “We want Summoners to know they aren’t alone, and there are many supporters out there who are invested in their success. We want to thank them for everything they do for the Battlerealm.”

You realize the expectation you're setting up though, right? First the eggs, now this, you're creating a pattern. You better be prepared to pony up free points in every Realm event, which means you can't act surprised when people don't try as hard in them because they expect a bailout.

Just so it doesn’t look like a complete failure of an event.

Now can you, Kabam (or even Stark Industries) invest some resources into fixing all the current bugs plaguing the game? Would be nice.

why should a uc be able to make it to gc only vsing other uncollected accounts and get all those rewards, whereas i, a valiant, have to trundle thru all the other valiants and whales for the same exact rewards. thats not fair either, is it? if you have a better idea on how to do matchmaking im sure kabam is all ears.

Let's indulge this concept. Say that's the case all the way through to GC. Then what? Have 3 or 4 different brackets? If not, once u get there, you'll possibly just get wrecked anyway. Do what you can, gets the points & resources to strengthen your roster. Then try again next season. It sucks, but you'll get there. An easier time would actually hurt in the long run

People will complain no matter what. Make a challenge, it's too hard. Make it easy, the rewards suck. Require input in a specific party of the game, people don't like it. Encourage us to work together, people refuse to participate because communism or something.

I'll keep playing the game, pushing through the challenges, enjoying the rewards, and doing my part.

100 cool points for the originality of the announcement. I laughed way more than I should’ve. Props to whoever came up with this.

That being said, I don’t understand people complaining about free stuff. Like why play the game? I don’t get the negativity coming from the comments. It’s literally free rewards….. just tell them thank you and go on about your day.

No one is complaining about the free stuff, people who complain are probably complaining about the bad design of the event. We got 100M points for free after week 1... That's how bad we were doing...

yea ok. the charity is fine as long as they make actual reasonable milestones for future realm events, and hopefully with a couple of them under their belt they can more accurately pick the ideal milestone for a season. i would love to know what the "score" would of been in previous seasons, cause id be surprised if kabam didnt have those numbers.

if previous seasons we were only getting the equivalent of like 200mil points, then yea the 1bil mark was silly to start with. I dont think they were far off for the bg event though, and i was pretty confident that we'd manage to hit 1bil by ourselves. but now that theyve helped, its basically guarenteed.... which is a good thing... people complaining about getting a titan are insane

What they did is great. I don't think anyone here is complaining about the rewards.
The issue is this: we weren't going to make the last realm event, so they gave us free points, though one person got to control that. We definitely weren't going to make the final milestone of this one, and now they've given us 100m points with more to come. As we consider future realm events, what is there now to motivate us to go above and beyond the minimum if they're just going to make up the difference for us?
